The priests had never seen their Beast God coaxing a female so softly before. They felt as if the world had been turned upside down.
Si Yan stared at the Beast God before her and said sarcastically, "Did you take a bath on purpose? And even put on new clothes?"
The Beast God Long Ze gave a sheepish smile, murmuring quietly, "Isn't it because I know you're a stickler for appearances? I even spent a long time combing out my long hair... how else could I coax you?"
"What?"
Long Ze laughed heartily. "Today's occasion is quite important, after all. It's not too much to be a bit more formal."
Si Yan looked him over for a while, not really feeling as angry as she might have.
Old Gecko had been too conspicuous along the way. Aside from not directly telling me that he was the Beast God, it was pretty much the same as not hiding it from me at all.
It was I who didn't make the connection between him and the Beast God.
I should have guessed it long ago.
