In the blink of an eye, Oreki, the members of the Occult Research Club, and the Student Council suddenly returned to their own world, the one called DxD. They had just left the Mahouka universe, the place where the Almighty Godsuya ruled above everything else.
When the light faded, the group found themselves standing in the main room of the Occult Research Club. At first, no one spoke. They looked around carefully, checking the shelves, the chairs, and even the faint smell of the room. Each person wanted to be sure that this wasn't another trick or illusion. After a while, one by one, they all realized it was true; they were finally back in their own world.
Still, Oreki wanted to double-check. He closed his eyes and focused on the strange bond he shared with the famous cat-and-mouse duo, Tom and Jerry. When he felt that familiar connection tug at his mind, he opened his eyes and gave a small nod to himself. That was the proof he needed. There was no doubt now. They had made it home.
However, even after feeling the bond with Tom and Jerry, Oreki was still not completely satisfied. A small doubt lingered in his mind. What if his Door authority had played a trick on him? What if, without him noticing, it had dragged them through time again, just like back in the Mahouka verse
To calm his worries, Oreki decided to check the date and time. That would prove whether they had really come back to the right moment in their own world. Without hesitation, he raised his hand and focused a bit. The air in front of him seemed to ripple, like water disturbed by a stone. Then, with a swift motion, he sliced through the fabric of space itself, creating a glowing portal.
On the other side of the rift, instead of some battlefield or unknown land, Oreki carefully connected the portal to a familiar place, his own bedroom. More specifically, he opened the gateway right next to his drawing desk. That was where he had left his phone, and the phone would show him the exact date and time. He calmly picked up the phone from the other side of the portal with swift movement.
Oreki looked at the time and date on his phone, and he realized that they had been away for a week and didn't go back to the past accidentally, which he couldn't help but sigh in disappointment, though it was only a little. However, he could only imagine what kind of shenanigans he and the ORC + Student Council Group would do if they really did come back from the past. He just shrugged as he thought, "Better luck/unlucky next time." He turned around and saw Rias and Akeno looking at him with weird looks.
"What?" Oreki asked.
Rias and Akeno looked at each other before Rias pointed at the Grandfather clock, and Akeno pointed at the calendar. "You know you could have just looked at the clock or the calendar to know the time and date," Akeno said with a smile.
"I just want to make things complicated and do things for the sake of doing things," Orekii said with a shrug.
"Anyway, we've been away for 1 week if you are properly looking," Rias said with narrow eyes.
"And?" Oreki asked
"I just want to inform you before you guys leave," Rias said, pausing for a while to make it suspenseful before continuing, "My Brother and Serafall-sama will be coming tomorrow here at School to bring you the prisoners you requested," She reported.
"Oh, is that tomorrow!?" Oreki shouted a bit, "I completely forgot about," He added
"Well, we're in vacation mode even though the school year is only getting started," Sona chimed in on the conversation. "And it's not a good look for someone with a position like me," She added while fixing her glasses.
"We don't want the students to think that we don't take our job seriously," The other glasses-wearing girl named Tsubaki said, also fixing her glasses.
"Who cares what they think! We owned the school! So we can do whatever we want," Rias said dismissively and haughtily. Hearing that the reaction of her peerage varies from being nervously laughing (Kiba), doesn't care (Koneko), doesn't know how to react (Valerie and Gasper), and doing fufu.
"Unlike you being lazy and uncaring," Sona said while rolling her eyes, "I care because I carry the Sitri name with me, though the students don't get my point," She said.
Rias just stuck her tongue out towards Sona, which slightly annoyed the latter.
"What about the list?" Oreki asked.
Hearing that question, Akeno, who was giggling, stopped for a moment before her face visibly got annoyed. "Tch," She made a sound before thinking to herself that she should calm down and accept her fallen side because her Mother planned to reconnect with her Father. "They are probably flirting and making another as of now," she thought to herself.
Rias sighed, "Fallen Angels from Grigori will bring the list tomorrow," She said before sighing again. "I need to talk to Akeno about her obsession with disowning her fallen angel side," The Leader in Rias said to herself.
"Oh, so that means they're coming too?" Oreki asked before Rias nodded in confirmation. "But why?" He follows up.
Rias shrugged, "That's all the message brought by Okita-san." She pointed to the guy in his twenties leaning against the wall, trying to look cool. He wears the traditional Shinsengumi uniform: a kimono with hakama and a light-blue haori, sleeves trimmed with "light mountain stripes," and a white tasuki to keep the sleeves out of the way.
Souji Okita nodded to them.
"Hey, Kiba, that guy is stealing your thunder," Oreki said playfully, but Kiba does not care, which makes Gasper look at him like a disappointed father because he is not taking his thunder back like a man.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Kiba asked, but Gasper just shrugged.
Oreki gggle seeing this before facing Rias. "So, is there any other important news?" He asked.
"Nothing that I know of," Rias said while looking towards Okita, inquiring if there was any more news, but the latter just smiled.
"Then Yoruichi and I will be going home," Oreki said, walking slightly towards Rias before kissing her deeply and feeling up her butt. This makes Rias moan loudly, even though her mouth is practically covered with Oreki's mouth. After quite a while, Oreki separated from Rias.
Oreki also did the same to Akeno, and the latter put Oreki's hand to her breast instead of her butt.
With a popping sound, Oreki stopped kissing Akeno. "Thanks for the meal," Oreki said while Akeno licked his finger.
"Fufu, you can eat anytime," Akeno replied with a wink and smile.
Oreki just smiles before beckoning Yoruichi to his side
"Duuuun… du-du-du-duu~ duuuun…Dun-dun-dun-dun… duuUUUuun-duuuun…" Oreki hums before disappearing to the ORC club.
