My mind slipped back to reality from the dreamless slumber it was in and I felt... different. Not wrong but heavier somehow. I shifted the tree I was in around me and stepped out onto the grass that crunched beneath my boots. My stomach roared in hunger and I quickly retrieved my rations and downed them with water even if the pure taste of vegetable powder and dried meat left much to be desired. I knew I had definitely been asleep for quite some time but the exact amount eluded me.-
I reached into my bag and produced the chatter box coin I always kept on me and activated it.
"Alex!? Where are you!? Are you hurt!? What happened!?" Hestia's frantic voice came through the coin with many questions.
"Ease up would you? I just woke up from a coma so i'm a bit fuzzy at the moment." I said with a groan.
"You've been gone two weeks! Do you know how worried I was!?" she yelled like I was supposed to know that somehow.
"Coma remember? Two weeks though? Ugh what a nuisance." I complained.
"Where are you? Are you coming back?" she asked sniffling.
"I'm.... somewhere in Telskyura. I should be back in like two days tops." I said not quite sure actually where I was.
Like I remember shooting across the sky and then hiding in a tree but the details like where I went exactly were straight up static. Still I doubted I'd need more than two days to get back to Orario since I did have a couple of mana potions for flight if I wanted to take that route.
"Just hurry back okay?" she said softly.
"Yeah, i'll be back before you even notice." I said reassuringly before hanging up the call.
I checked the suns position and the direction it was moving and using that I figured out where I needed to head. Taking out a mana potion I downed it and then shot off into the air before blasting at top speed westward with my flames. I didn't doubt that my passing would be noticed but at this point I saw no reason why it should matter. It wasn't like anyone could shoot me down at this altitude without me seeing the attack long before it arrived. Even if it pissed off Kali why should I care? She wanted to play dirty to begin with so fuck her.-
Much like when I originally set out from Orario my tank was running on empty about a quarter of the way back so I had to land. I didn't dare stop moving however even as the night fell as I was definitely still within Telskyuran borders. I definitely wouldn't let myself be captured by the Kali familia if I could help it. some people might think being used as a living dildo would be a great life, those people were stupid if they chose to ignore the conditions they'd be subject to as well.-
Sure the men owned by the Amazon race got to see lots of sex but otherwise they were treated worse than livestock. Poor food if any at all, no hygiene until you were needed for "service" and they could beat you to death without any reason or even reprimand for doing it. For adventurer men the treatment was so much worse as they cut off both arms and legs while removing your eyes so escape isn't even an option. It was NOT a good life at all and so I definitely wasn't going to allow myself to get caught.-
I myself wasn't afraid of such treatment with my cursed technique and RCT but that didn't mean I was eager to experience it myself. Besides I was level five with extremely high stamina so jogging for days on end was no problem at all. My cursed energy fully refilled when dawn arrived so I popped my last mana potion and took off across the sky. It was easy to see when I crossed the border of Telskyura as the place was CRAWLING with Kali familia members no doubt waiting for me.-
A few tried to chase me but that was a fools endeavor with the speed I was flying so far above the ground at. If I pushed my flames as hard as possible I could reach speeds upwards of mach three for a brief moment but even my low level flight speed was comfortably close to mach one. Unlike a jet fighter from my previous life I didn't need nearly as much thrust to reach such speeds since I didn't weight tons. Still flying like this wasn't cheap on cursed energy so after about thirty minutes of flight my reservoir was once again back to being nearly empty.-
If I had to estimate though I was at the halfway mark of the return trip and in the buffer zone between Orario and Telskyura so I could finally rest for a bit. Landing in the dense forest without a care I made camp even though it was mid day. I heard the hunting Kali familia long before they arrived and shifted my form to that of a woman's with a narrow waist and big "boobs" without any trouble at all. When they burst into the area expecting to find a man only to find a woman they looked downright confused.-
"You there! Did you see a man pass through here?" one of them demanded.
"Nope, you are the first people i've seen since I got here. Did one of your slaves get free?" I spoke while manipulating my vocal cords to produce a female voice.
"That doesn't concern you. Let's go, he must have landed further away." the leader of this party said and they left just as fast as they arrived.
'I really need to remember I can do this more often, that was fucking hilarious.' I thought to myself amused as I shifted back to my normal form.
