From the outside, the base blended in as a massive mountain, sealed by natural rock and high-level security systems. To the untrained eye, there was nothing unusual there. However, the deeper one went, the more its true nature revealed itself.
Metallic corridors interconnected carved-out areas within the rock, illuminated by cold lights and monitored by cameras, sensors, and armed agents. Scientists moved between panels filled with data and cutting-edge technology, in an atmosphere steeped in secrecy.
At the center of the base lay the primary experiment: a bluish cube, pulsing with dense waves of spatial energy. At times, its surface looked as calm as a mirrored lake; at others, it trembled like a volcano on the brink of eruption. Equipment surrounded the artifact, measuring, monitoring, and trying to understand its potential — or its danger.
