"Are you really thinking about fighting Ike? I warned you not to mess with him. You don't stand a chance against him. Back then, even the whole country couldn't defeat Ike. That's why he's the ruler now. If you go after him, you're just asking for death."

Hearing Xiao say this, Arthur wanted to argue, but before he could, Xiao grabbed his hand and led him away from the castle.

This castle no longer belonged to them. Now, they could only live on its outskirts.

"Everyone in the castle now is someone Ike brought in. So, it's no longer our home. Let me take you to my place instead. You've been walking for so long—you must be tired. Come on~."

Xiao was a kindhearted child. Hearing this, Arthur immediately thought about food. After drifting at sea for so long, he was starving.

As if responding to his thoughts, his stomach growled loudly. Arthur lowered his head and rubbed his stomach, mumbling to himself.

"It's fine… I'll get to eat soon."

Seeing Arthur like this, Xiao let out a mocking laugh. "So naive," he muttered. Still, he kept leading Arthur forward. They weren't far from his home now.

Compared to the castle, this place was in a remote area. The difference was like night and day. There were no grand buildings here—just simple straw huts.

When Xiao brought Arthur here, he asked him to wait for a moment while he went to speak with the nearby guards. After a short while, Xiao returned and led Arthur into the thatched houses.

"Xiao! You're finally back! Do you know how worried your mother was?"

A middle-aged woman rushed over and pulled Xiao into a tight hug. Seeing his mother, Xiao Qi shot a cautious glance at Arthur before smiling and gently pulling him forward.

"Mom, don't worry. This is a friend I met while I was out at sea. He came here to collect a Log Pose reading from our island. Once he's done, he'll leave. He even gave me candy—he's a pretty nice guy."

Despite Xiao's words, his mother's wary expression didn't soften. Instead, she turned to Xiao and spoke again, her tone firm.

"I've told you before—outsiders are not allowed on our island! Isn't it bad enough that the tyrants in the castle have taken over? How many more strangers are you planning to bring here? Tell him to leave! If the patriarch finds out, he'll be furious."

Xiao wanted to argue, but after seeing the serious look on his mother's face, he hesitated. A conflicted expression appeared on his face as he turned to Arthur. Arthur, unaware of the situation, simply smiled at Xiao.
