[KIYOMI]
When Elif's footsteps receded, Kiyomi could have sworn she felt familiar steps close. She could smell the beautiful citrus scent that had always made her feel safe. And it was close. Not the near-distance kind of close.
She didn't even need to call out to know that the love of her life was standing closer to the door of the guestroom. The very room she had looked herself in so she wouldn't be a nuisance.
And now Kiyomi felt like tearing the door apart, eliminating the one barrier that stood between her and the woman that her heart yearned for.
Maybe she could choose to give in to her desires and let everything be, but that was too great a risk even for her.
It was a price too high for her to pay, or even for Sakura to pay. Maybe she had finally lost her mind, but what the hell was she supposed to lean towards at this point then? Who was she to turn into so that things would be better?
