Sakura felt defeated.
She blamed herself for what happened, and she wanted to scold Liu, but even that seemed like a long shot because the woman was dying and there wasn't much that could be done. At least in the Doiwa say.
Liu could easily shake off the effects of the serum and fix herself to avoid the agony, but she had to be patient. She had to wait and see what happened. She had been in Doiwa for a long time, and she had never once laid her eyes on a royal healer.
Today, she got to learn that there was a royal healer, too.
It was ironic how the mad queen was way too powerful, but she had a healer around for whatever reason. But was it ever going to matter if what Izanami had swung at Liu never got to be removed?
Liu looked at Sakura, the woman she had fought tooth and nail for. She wondered if there would ever have been a way for both of them to meet.
