"What are you—" Sakura dared to ask before everything faded right in front of her eyes.
"I told you, didn't I? That you would someday have to pay the price for falling in love and having a beating heart. You should have listened to me, but of course, you were in love.
"Look where that got you today," Izanami laughed sinisterly as she watched her daughter get used to her surroundings.
It was a shocker for Sakura, which Izanami could tell. The little girl she had broken was still a weakling, a truth that she had proven to herself without even having to send someone.
Oh, but the disappointment was overwhelming; she had never expected this to happen, and when the realization dawned on Sakura Izanami smirked at her knowingly.
"You didn't."
"You and I both know I did. Aren't you supposed to be asking about your precious Tetsuyas? Or is that also something that you think was a dream for you?" Izanami laughed.
