[SAKURA]
"Why did you let them chain you? What happened in those thirteen days?" Sakura asked as she walked towards the dungeons. She was racking her brain about all of this, and frankly, nothing she had imagined was making sense.
She still had no recollection of what had happened, and it was unsettling for her.
Her mother had really crossed the line this time, but what was Sakura to say to that? What was she to do when deep down she was scared that if she killed Izanami, she would truly and utterly be alone?
Her mother was an unhinged piece of shit who thrived off of her Izanami-inflicted misery, and yet somehow, Sakura didn't see herself in a world that didn't have her mother.
Granted, Izanami wasn't ever winning any mother of the year awards, but her presence, however evil and unhinged, was the anchor that reminded Sakura that, at the end of the day, no matter how terrible her mother was, she still had one.
