He watched as the large beasts, with an almost human-like intelligence, commanded their troops cooperatively: two large ones led countless smaller ones toward Master Ye, while the others continued to charge at the passage, intent on widening the gap—which was only as thick as an index finger—to allow the creatures on the other side to enter swiftly.
"What on earth are you creatures?" The calm expression on Master Ye's face vanished, and beads of sweat formed on his forehead. That crack must be sealed. Otherwise, if it expands and they devour a few more people, their intelligence will continually increase. By then, dealing with them would be a pipe dream.
As this thought crossed his mind, the Spiritual Energy in Master Ye's hands became even sharper. He realized that trying to stop the insects with his power alone was proving incredibly difficult.
