Looking at the Chinese restaurant that seemed to be doing quite well, and listening to Xia Shanmei greeting customers in her awkward English from a distance, Luo Qiao couldn't help but smile. It seemed like she was adapting well enough.
Taking advantage of Xia Shanmei's time in the kitchen, Luo Qiao went over to settle the bill.
After getting her change, Xia Shanmei just happened to see her: "Sister, you're here."
"You're running this restaurant quite well, and you're communicating with the customers now. That's quite an improvement."
"Sister, stop praising me. I'm not there yet. It's mainly because I've been listening a lot, so it seems like I've caught on a bit. The communication is okay, it's just that what I say sounds awful."
"This is already impressive. Seeing you adapt to life here makes me relieved."
