He had a nightmare, so terrifying, he dreamed that Yun Ya had died...
Impossible.
He ran barefoot out of bed, out of the house, against the cold wind to Yun Ya's room.
Mingyue sat on the roof, knees bent, hanging upside down, looking at the man who seemed to have lost his mind. She frowned but said nothing.
The man was too panicked to notice her presence.
Standing at the room door, he took a few breaths to calm down, then gently pushed the door open and walked in.
He walked to the window and looked down at the sleeping girl on the bed, feeling relieved.
With a hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth, he sat down and held her hands.
"Yun Ya, I had a nightmare, scared me to death, but luckily it was just a dream, when I woke, you were still by my side."
Yet even though Yun Ya was by his side, every time he thought of that dream, cold sweat drenched him, such real pain and despair, like a maggot clinging to bones, like a heart being gouged.
