Silently putting down William's Imperial Guidelines, Leon turned to look at Anna standing behind him, his expression slightly awkward as he said:
"Where's little Ellie? Maybe I should help her with her homework first?"
"Ellie's already asleep!"
Seeing right through Leon's attempt to avoid the issue, Anna rolled her eyes at him impatiently, then sat back down next to Melanie, much to Melanie's despair.
"And besides, Ellie finished her homework at school. She would never drag it out like these two... Melanie! Look at what you've written! Who said you have to read the terms to sign a contract? Is that what the author meant?"
"Well... maybe the author didn't think about it, but this is my personal interpretation..."
"You can have your own interpretation, but you can't write it in the school's exercise book!"
