a "seal" implanted by the swordsman masters in their bodies would unleash a "monster."
The moment the "monster" appeared, it would cling to them like a bone-clinging maggot, bringing all sorts of terrifying negative statuses.
If the players weren't strong enough to resist these effects, they would quickly become sustenance for the "monster."
During this time, swordsmen could afford to relax a bit, easing the burdens they carried.
