Chapter 196 - Chapter 196: Transit Again

Misuzu, Annie, Kawamoto, and Taniuchi sat inside Blackout.

Kawamoto and Taniuchi held hands. They looked outside to a vortex of swirling colors surrounding them. They all saw colours shifting blues, purples, and greens, twisting up and down. "It is fascinating," Taniuchi said.

"We have done this many times before guided by our goddess," Kawamoto replied.

"She is truly our light, the one that will guide us," Taniuchi said.

Misuzu nodded. "Our Goddess will show us the way and will be there for everyone and as her angels we will usher in the new age," she said.

Annie kissed her teeth. She thought these girls were delusional and completely brainwashed. Her eyes went to Misuzu`s ring.

The vehicle shook as it was pulled forward. "We are caught in the gravitational pull," Taniuchi said. "Hold on tight," she added as her large E cups moved up and down.

At that moment, the colors collapsed inward, and Blackout shot out of the portal. There was a blinding flash of light.

"I hate that," Annie said as her vision started to adjust.

Kawamoto peered through the window. "Where… are we?" she asked.

Outside, the world was ablaze. There was smoke curling into the sky. It was thick. A dark fog blanketed the streets.

"We're here," Misuzu replied quietly.

Annie frowned. "She asked where, not when," she said. She looked at Misuzu.

"This is called Transit," Blackout said. "A place in the United States, after the zombie outbreak," he added.

Misuzu, Kawamoto, and Taniuchi all froze.

"Zombies?" Kawamoto echoed.

"What are those?" Annie asked. She thought someone had mentioned it before.

Taniuchi stepped forward. "The living undead. Corpses that rise again, driven by one instinct, to devour the living," she replied.

"They sound like Titans," she replied.

Misuzu nodded. "Pretty much. But smaller. And there are a lot more of them," she added. She looked around. "Their greatest strength is sheer numbers. They swarm," she said.

Annie crossed her arms. "Are you even equipped to handle this?" she asked.

Kawamoto looked up. The Goddess will guide us," she replied.

They saw a rectangular, multi-story building with a flat roof. A flickering blue neon sign read "BUS." The windows were shattered or boarded up. Beside it, a grey, boxy bus sat beneath a shelter, its rear end scorched and flames licking at its frame. Four red tail lights glowed faintly through the smoke.

Blackout landed near the bus stop and opened the door.

Kawamoto winced. "It smells," she remarked.

"Of the dead," Annie said with a smile on her face. She was used to this.

The group, Kawamoto, Taniuchi, Misuzu, and Annie moved out of the helicopter and into the street.

"It seems clear for now," Annie said.

Misuzu narrowed her eyes. "We shouldn't let our guard down. Not here," she said.

"Afraid you will die," Annie said with a smile on her face.

Misuzu glared back.

"It looks like someone was here," Annie said as she looked at the footsteps on the ground. "Multiple people," she added.

Taniuchi walked forward and looked at shell casting. "They had guns as well," she said.

"They might still be around," Misuzu said as she activated her ring. Her pink ring glowed and her clothes changed. She was now weaning a purple bodysuit that covered her torso and upper legs. Her stomach and cleavage were exposed. She had thigh-high boots. On her crotch there was a star shaped emblem. Her arms were covered with long, matching purple gloves that extend past her elbows. She also has a headpiece, with a glowing, radiant light emerging from the top.

Annie kissed her teeth. She thought she would get that somehow.

"Let's go in there," Misuzu said as they walked forward. They saw bodies on the floor.

"Those are zombies," Kawamoto said as she looked at their decaying bodies.

"Someone had killed them," Annie replied. She looked down at them. They were smaller than titans and more gross.

"Let's keep moving," Misuzu said. They approached the bus depot. The double glass door was open. They could see derby and rubbish everywhere. They all entered inside and saw the bodies of zombies on the floor. The head of one zombie was cleanly cut off.

"It looks clear," Annie said as she looked at the dim interior of the ruined bus station.

Just then, a crash of glass shattered the silence, a figure burst through an open window and landed hard on the floor. It was a blue-eyed zombie, dressed in tattered medical scrubs, Its skin was pale and mottled.

"We've got one incoming," Kawamoto screamed as she stumbled back.

Annie's eyes lit up with a strange excitement. "So this is a zombie," she said as she cracked her knuckles. "Let's see what all the fuss is about," she added.

"Don't let it bite you!" Taniuchi warned.

The zombie snarled and lunged but Annie was faster. She stepped forward and punched it square in the face and sent it staggering back. However it recovered quickly and charged again and tackled her to the ground. Its jaws snapped inches from her throat.

Annie twisted her body as she dodged the bite and then planted her foot against its chest and kicked it off with brutal force. The creature flew across the room and crashed into a broken bench.

"Sword," Misuzu shouted as she created a pink blade from her ring. She used her power and sent the sword forward and with a clean arc, sliced through the zombie's neck. The head hit the floor with a wet thud. The body collapsed beside it.

"You are welcome," Misuzu said.

"I had it," Annie replied as she got up. They both stared at each other.

Meanwhile Kawamoto and Taniuchi looked around the bus station and saw a bench. "What is this?" Kawamoto asked as she looked at a turbine on the bench.

Annie and Misuzu turned their heads and looked at it as well. Annie tilted her head. "What is that thing?" she echoed.

Taniuchi looked up at the blueprints. She saw the mannequin and turbine and electricity symbols with a power generator. "It looks like a power source," she said.

She reached and pulled the turbine. At that moment, there was a bright light. There was the sound of crafting and sawing. "What is that?" Kawamoto asked as she looked eyes.

"It is bright," Annie added.

Misuzu looked on as she used her hand to protect herself. Then it all stopped. The light went away.

Tanuichi was holding a turbine and another one appeared. "What black magic is this," Annie asked.

"It created another one of this," Tanuichi said as she looked stunned.

"Will it create another one?" Kawamoto asked.

"Only one way to find out," Annie replied as she walked up and took the turbine off the bench. . At that moment, there was a bright light. There was the sound of crafting and sawing and then it stopped.

Annie was holding a turbine and another appeared on the bench.

"We can get as many as we like," Tanuichi said.

"I think we are going to need four," Misuzu remarked. "The Goddess has sent the four of us," she added. "This may be the reason why," she said as she walked to the turbine and took it. There was another light.

"I am not going to carry it," Annie said.

Kawamoto took the turbine down as well. There was another light, sawing and then it all stopped. "It keeps creating," she said.

"The Goddess sent you with us so you will carry," Misuzu said.

"I will not," Annie replied. They both looked at each other.

"We can put this in Blackout," Kawamoto suggested.

"That is a good idea," Taniuchi said as she looked at Kawamoto with a lewd smile.

"That is a good idea," Annie replied. Misuzu nodded.

They all walked outside and too Blackout whose door was open.

"Blackout, we are putting these turbines inside you," Kawamoto said.

"Sure," Blackout replied. The girls put the turbines inside him.

"Was this what we came for?" Annie asked. She looked angry.

"No, the Goddess did not say however," Blackout replied as a cabin opened. "She said they will be needed," he added.

Taniuchi looked inside and saw two objects. She picked up the two objects. She looked to see one was a computer chip and had "Ted" written on it. The other was slightly bigger than a chip, however it was red and white.

"They look like computer chips," Kawamoto said.

"That one looks like you put in a radio," Annie added.

Misuzu thought for a second. "Our Goddess is giving us trails," she said. "They must be for here," she added.

"She could have told us," Annie said as looked around. She could not see much due to the thick fog.

"The Goddess said we are worthy," Kawamoto said.

Suddenly, the bus horn blared, startling everyone. "Next station: decrepit bus stop filled with undead," a voice was heard.

"What was that?" Annie asked.

"It came from that bus," Kawamoto replied.

"It sounded like a robot," Misuzu said.

Taniuchi looked at the computer chip with Ted written on it.

"Lets go and see," Misuzu said as she floated towards the bus. Kawamoto and Taniuchi with Annie followed behind. They got to the door and looked inside to see a robot with red eyes in a bus driver uniform.

"Is that a zombie?" Annie asked.

"No it is the robot," Taniuchi replied. "I think the chip goes to him," she added.

"Lets go inside," Misuzu said. "The Goddess will guide us," she added.

They walked inside and the robot moved. "All board," he said as his hands were on the wheel.

Annie walked down the bus. "What sort of thing is this?" she asked.

"It is a bus," Kawamoto replied as she walked down the bus. She saw a seat with something shiny. She picked it up. "It is a pistol," Kawamoto said. She could feel it was heavy. It had a green sight.

Taniuchi stepped forward and looked at the robot. She noticed a slot at the base of his neck. "There's a chip port here," she said.

Misuzu looked at the port. "I think it goes there," Misuzu said. "The Goddess had known about this, and wanted us to put it in there," she added.

Taniuchi nodded and inserted the final chip. The body jolted. His eyes flashed white. He turned his head slowly.

"For the Goddess," he said in a monotone voice.

The bus doors slammed shut and the engine roared to life. He gripped the wheel. "Destination: unknown. Hold on," he said as the bus lurched forward.

"What is going on?" Annie asked as she tried to steady herself.

"We are going," Kawamoto said as she fell over into Annie's chest. She moved her hand and squeezed her breast.

"Get off me," Annie said.

Taunichi looked at them.
