Chapter 211 - Chapter 211: Transit Again III

Kawamoto, Taniuchi, Misuzu, and Annie stood on the bus as it pushed through the thick fog. The headlights barely pierced the gray veil. Ted moved the wheel frantically.

"What was that thing back there?" Taniuchi asked as she looked at everyone.

Kawamoto's jaw tightened. "It looked like a monster," she replied.

Ted turned his head. "That was a Mimic," he responded.

Misuzu leaned forward. "Mimic?" she asked.

Ted's voice dropped lower. "It's born from humans corrupted by Element 115. The Goddess warned us, there will be many more creatures like that," he responded.

Misuzu clasped her hands together. "Then the Goddess will guide us," she said.

Annie scoffed. "It wasn't that tough. Just disgusting. And it touched me," she said as she looked out the window. "Where are we going now?" she asked.

Ted's eyes glowed white. "Power Station," he responded. "The Goddess has sent us instructions," he said. The bus jolted violently as it hit a bump.

Misuzu looked outside. Through the fog, she spotted a small farm in the distance. She turned her head and saw zombies running behind them. Their hollow eyes glowed faintly as they trudged after the bus.

Kawamoto walked towards Misuzu. She steadyed herself against the swaying vehicle. She lifted her M8A1 rifle. She felt the weight in her hands. She exhaled and aimed down the sight. She squeezed the trigger. The bullet tore through the fog and hit the ground. She then fired again. She missed again. She fired once more and struck a zombie square in the head. It collapsed instantly. Its body crumpled into the dirt.

Taniuchi's eyes widened. "That was an amazing shot," she remarked.

"She missed and then got lucky," Annie remarked as she crossed her arms.

Taniuchi clenched her teeth. She glared at Annie.

Kawamoto lowered her weapon. She had a calm smile on her lips. "Luck has nothing to do with it," she said. She looked at Misuzu and Annie. "The Goddess said we should work together," she said.

Misuzu nodded firmly. "The Goddess is always right," she responded.

Annie kissed her teeth. "Whatever," she remarked.

The bus rumbled onward through the fog. "I can see something," Kawamoto said. They all looked at the building where the top floor was half destroyed. There were bricks scattered. They could see cable running everywhere on overhead lines. There were substations in front of the building. Next to the building there was a small patch of grass. Behind the grass there was a small shed. It was a cube shaped building with a triangular roof.

The bus stopped. "We are here," Ted said as his eyes glowed white. "Put the turbine next to the power symbol," he added.

"Turbine?" Kawamoto asked.

"He is probably referring to this," Annie responded as she picked up the turbine.

"The Goddess must have had a plan for it," Misuzu said.

Ted opened the door. "Put the turbine next to the power symbol," Ted said once again.

"Let's go and do it," Misuzu said as she walked out of the bus. She looked around and saw zombies.

"Pink Weapon Rifle," Misuzu said as her pink ring shimmered. It glowed brighter until the light condensed into her hands. In an instant, the glow solidified into a sleek, crystalline firearm. Misuzu gripped the weapon tightly. She raised it to her shoulder and pulled the trigger. The rifle roared and unleashed a volley of luminous pink bullets. Each round streaked through. The first bullet punched through a zombie's skull, its head snapping back before the body collapsed. The second tore into another's chest and sent it sprawling into the dirt. A third shot ripped the creature mid-leap and hurled it backward.

Misuzu lowered the weapon and it disappeared.

Kawamoto stared. "That was incredible, you wiped them out," she said as she held the M8A1.

"How did you do that?" Taniuchi asked. She had seen her create fist and swords.

"I just thought about it and it happened," Misuzu responded.

Annie stepped out of the bus. She thought does it work on imagination. She looked at the ring.

"Where are we going?" Annie asked.

"I think there," Taniuchi replied as she pointed to the shed.

"In that shed?" Annie asked.

"Its the only place," Kawamoto responded as she walked forward. She saw the dead zombie bodies. She thought they had only killed three, however there were many more.

Misuzu followed her. She looked up to see a blue lighting bolt flashing across the sky. She thought the street lamps were flicking.

"There is nothing there," Annie called out.

"There is," Kawamoto responded as she looked inside the shed. "There is a hole which goes down and it is bright down there," Kawamoto added.

Misuzu walked and looked inside the shed. "Yes it is down here," she confirmed. They all gathered around the hole and jumped in.

"What is this place?" Annie asked. She looked to see it was white. She had never seen this before.

Taniuchi looked behind and saw the power symbol. "This is it," she said as she pointed to the symbol.

"He did say a power symbol," Kawmoto remarked as she looked at the large door.

Annie put the turbine down. The turbine started to spin and send sparks. "It is working but now what?" she asked. She sounded annoyed. She thought why was she following orders from a freak like that driver.

"We did not say," Kawamoto responded.

"We should leave and get back to the bus," Misuzu said as she looked around. She thought this area was different.

"I can agree to that, I want to leave this place entirely," Annie remarked.

"Why are you scared?" Taniuchi questioned.

"What did you say?" Annie said as she looked at Taniuchi.

Taniuchi took a step back.

Misuzu cleared her throat. "Let's keep going," she said as she walked forward. "The Goddess said we need to work together," she added.

As they walked they saw a large cylinder shaped device in the middle. "What is this thing?" Annie asked as she looked at the device.

"It looks like a power generator of some sort," Taniuchi replied.

"What is it doing here?" Kawamoto asked as she looked at the different wires and panels.

"We can ask Ted," Misuzu replied as they walked around the reactor. They continued and headed to the control room. The control room had a control panel on either side and another work bench.

"There is that work bench again," Kawamoto said as she looked at the wooden bench next to a switch.

"This one is for that switch," Taniuchi responded as she looked at the blueprints.

"Someone has been here before us," Misuzu said. "There were dead zombies up there," she added.

"Do you think they are still here?" Kawamoto asked.

"Only one way to find out," Annie said as she looked at the hole in the wall. She jumped through the hole.

"Wait for us," Kawamoto said as she jumped through the hole.

Annie turned around and saw Kawamoto coming towards her. Kawamoto fell onto of Annie. Her face was planted into Annie`s breasts. "What are you doing?" Annie remarked as she felt her face between her breasts. She moaned.

"Sorry," Kawamoto responded as she tried to get up.

"Get off me," Annie said as she tried to get Annie off her. Her hand pushed against Kawamoto`s breast.

Kawamoto moaned as she felt Annie`s hand on her breast.

"Whar are you doing?" Taunichi said as she looked to see Annie touching Kawamoto's breasts. "Get off my girlfriend," she shouted.

"She fell on me," Annie responded as she squeezed her Kawamoto`s breasts once more before she got up.

Kawamoto looked flushed. She thought Lois could have done more but she was rough.

Misuzu saw her ring glow for a second as that happened. She jumped down with Taniuchi.

Kawamoto and Annie got up and dusted themselves off. Taniuchi approached Kawamoto and pressed her face against her breasts. "Are you okay Kawamoto?" Taniuchi asked as she rubbed her face.

"I am fine," Kawamoto responded as she felt Taniuchi`s face being rubbed between her breasts.

"She was the one that fell on me," Annie said as she walked up the stairs. She looked to see another bench.

Misuzu walked up. "There is another bench," she remarked as she looked at the plans.

Taniuchi and Kawamoto followed up. She looked at the wall. "Looks like something with electricity, a trap," Taniuchi remarked. She looked at the battery and the lightning symbol on the blueprints.

"Ted did not mention this," Kawamoto remarked.

"Lets take it for now," Misuzu said.

Taniuchi grabbed the electric trap which had a big antenna and a large ball. There was another bright light. "Should we take another one?" she asked.

"One is enough," Misuzu replied. They all walked around and got to the other side and saw a hole in the wall.

Annie walked forward and saw the bus. It started to horn. "All board," Ted shouted.

"Looks like he wants us back," Annie commented as she jumped down and landed effortlessly.

Misuzu floated down and landed on the ground.

"Together," Taniuchi said. Kawamoto nodded. They both held hands and jumped down.

They all landed down and walked towards the bus and boarded it. "Ted, we have this?" Taniuchi remarked as she showed it.

"It is the electric trap," Ted responded. "Pair it with the Turbine and it makes all zombies go zap," he added.

"That is interesting," Kawamoto said.

"Are we done here?" Annie asked.

"No there are two more spots," Ted replied as he closed the door and took off. The bus went forward into the fog.

"Where are we going?" Misuzu asked as she looked ahead. She saw a corn field.

"The Goddess has said, it has opened now and we can get it," Ted responded. "Or we can go to the final destination," he added.

"You said there are two spots," Annie said as she looked at Ted.

"It can be one if you like," Ted responded.

"Why is one optional?" Kawamoto asked.

"The Goddess has said, you must trust your judgement, she has shown you paths, you must choose," Ted said.

Annie gritted her teeth. "Why is she not telling us directly?" Annie scoffed.

"She is a Goddess," Misuzu responded. "She is guiding us, to prove we are worthy," she added. "Thank you Goddess," she said as she prayed.

"Thank you Goddess," Kawamoto and Taniuchi added together.

Annie thought they were gone. She looked at Ted.

"Take us to both places," Misuzu ordered.

"Yes," Kawamoto agreed.

"Wait," Annie said.

Ted changed direction and headed into the fog.
