[Chapter Size: 2000 Words.]
Third Person POV
Hogwarts.
...
...
All the shadows that were working on potions for the franchise that no one yet knew belonged to Severus Snape, in addition to the contracts he had with Gringotts.
Severus would have to abandon the Room of Requirement where his great creation center was... He would move it to Prince Manor or another place, which would be better when the entire wizarding world knows where you live—that would prevent problems.
He had to choose a new place, but for now, he would store everything he had.
His order was clear to the shadows as they quickly began helping to store all the ingredients, cauldrons, and resources, while finishing off the last potions and cleaning all the used cauldrons.
It would take some time until everything was ready, but Severus still had to finish organizing everything, so he left the room and went to his old bedroom, he removed the bed, his clothes and books, plus other items from the place, storing everything separately, and looked at the snake inside the container—it didn't look happy at all with its situation.
"I have to see what I should do with you..." Severus murmured with a thoughtful look, he didn't really know what to do with the snake.
Severus decided to leave that to the headmaster of Hogwarts and returned to the entrance as a shadow appeared in front of him—it was the fragment of Voldemort.
"Do you know if there's another Horcrux of yours here at Hogwarts?" Severus asked, and the shadow nodded.
Severus nodded in satisfaction at that. "Then show me," he requested as the shadow pointed to another part of the Room of Requirement that Severus usually didn't explore, as it was the storage for lost items that the castle's house-elves used to collect and store in a chest, which ended up falling into that area.
"Let's go." He said as the door materialized and they entered an endless hall full of items.
Severus followed the shadow for about five minutes until it stopped at a pile of stacked items—the shadow extended its hand and picked up a piece like a necklace with some kind of sapphire in the middle.
"I should give this to Bellatrix..." Severus laughed, imagining how the girl would be conflicted, but he thought it better to first see what this item was. Either way, he pointed at the item, feeling the soul inside it like he had seen in the snake called Nagini.
"Arise." He said, and in the next moment, the aura began to come out and go straight into the shadow of Voldemort, increasing its strength and presence, with a system warning that it had become stronger and now had two parts of the soul.
After that, he left the place, no longer interested, as the Voldemort shadow had confirmed that there were no more Horcruxes at Hogwarts.
He went to the aviary, where he found Rosaria placing Atlas and his mate into the bag.
Shadow was at Prince Manor, so it wasn't just the couple here—he approached as Atlas made a warning sound of disapproval at his fate of being placed into a bag.
"Is he giving you trouble?" Severus asked calmly, while Rosaria looked at him with a tired smile.
"He doesn't want to go in at all," she said.
Severus approached and gave him a swat on the back, making the creature jump.
"Get in already, we're moving. Otherwise, you'll stay here alone and there will be no one to feed you," Severus said in a serious tone.
The creature, though wanting to resist, did not refuse Severus's order and began to enter the bag.
"Very good," Severus said, satisfied as the animal disappeared.
"You were a bit harsh with him..." Rosaria commented, though she was impressed.
"I only told the truth," he said.
"Either way, it won't be a problem having them at your house... the Ministry has strict laws against it," she commented.
"That's true... But I doubt that after what I've done, having a graphorn will be the biggest problem," Severus said. He was breaking the country's laws, but given what he'd already done, would this really make any difference?
"Anyway, let's say goodbye to this place," Severus said when Atlas finished entering the bag and Rosaria picked it up.
"I'll miss this place," she commented. "So, you're giving up your studies at Hogwarts, right?"
"Yes... I'll deal with that later. Anyway... let's go. Fawkes," Severus said, and the phoenix appeared.
"Chamber of Secrets," Severus requested, and both vanished.
The Chamber of Secrets hadn't changed, with much of the basilisk's body now gone after Severus used its materials for some special potions.
Rosaria was a bit surprised by the setting, with some questions in mind as she had never been here before. Severus ignored the basilisk and went toward the great door, easily breaking it by pulling it open, without needing to punch it anymore.
"So you're here again..." Salazar greeted him, watching his door fly open easily. Despite frowning, he said nothing more as the boy entered along with another young woman, who looked around curiously.
"You brought a guest without notifying me first? I didn't think you were so rude, Mr. Snape," Salazar seemed offended at seeing him enter with someone without asking permission first—though Severus was never actually invited here.
"Don't be offended, I'm leaving. Perhaps we'll never see each other again," Severus said in a tired tone.
"What? You seem different... and you disappeared for almost two months...? Did something happen?" Salazar seemed more curious than angry at that point.
"You could say a lot happened..." Severus began, while Rosaria, despite being surprised by the lab and library in front of her, turned her attention to the portrait of one of Hogwarts' four ancient founders talking to Severus.
"To start with, I fought my war with the Dark Lord of Britain—and I won," Severus said, as Salazar raised an eyebrow.
"But I discovered some interesting things. Although I had the chance to destroy Voldemort, I didn't. I destroyed a good part of his body and magic so he wouldn't be a problem anymore... I recently found out he has parts of his soul divided into powerful objects... Like this one here." Severus showed the necklace with the blue stone.
Salazar immediately raised an eyebrow and looked stunned.
"He's using Horcruxes!" he said, and Severus nodded, not surprised that this man knew what one was, given who he was.
"And that bastard... he used this item! It belonged to my Rowena..." he said with considerable anger.
"Rowena Ravenclaw? What do you mean, 'my'...?" Severus looked surprised by that statement.
"I was the one who gave her that diadem... I was the one who made it," he admitted.
"So Salazar loved his companion?" Severus asked in an amused tone.
"I can't deny it, but it was never returned..." he said in a sad tone, and Severus was surprised by the confession.
"I'm sorry about that, but I've already removed the soul and dark magic from it... I'm collecting all the soul fragments before destroying Voldemort completely, because I don't know how it would work if I destroyed his original body, given the chance he might return again sometime in the future," Severus explained.
"I understand... If you managed to remove it without harming the item, that's good. I would like you to leave it in the Ravenclaw tower—it's where Rowena Ravenclaw would have wanted it to be," he said, and Severus nodded, agreeing to the request.
"Anyway... I'm leaving. This is goodbye, Salazar Slytherin," Severus said, and the man nodded with a serious tone.
"It was a pleasure to meet you then... Severus Snape," he said.
"Not Snape anymore, it's Prince now. I'm head of the Prince house now. You may now respect me as a pureblood," Severus smiled, giving a playful indication between them in that moment.
"Of course, Severus Prince... It was a pleasure to meet a stranger like you. I hope the next person to find this place comes telling stories about you and your accomplishments in the future. After all, everything indicates your name will be quite famous," he said.
"I'm being hunted as the country's greatest criminal and even being targeted as an international fugitive, but no one dares to attack me after what I've done, so I'm sure you'll hear about me in the future. Goodbye," he said and turned around.
Salazar only nodded, watching him leave. Severus returned to repair the door and proceeded to the basilisk, storing its final parts into one of the bags.
Rosaria simply followed him in silence—she didn't know Severus had this secret place in the school, but she wasn't surprised and just waited for him to finish. Fawkes hadn't left, and Severus asked to appear in the middle of the Great Hall, as it was noon and Dumbledore was there with Fawkes, unable to meet him earlier to be warned of his presence.
It was a surprise to all the professors present, eating at the table, when a burst of flame revealed two people appearing in front of them with Dumbledore's phoenix.
"By Merlin!" Minerva McGonagall exclaimed before freezing upon seeing who had appeared.
Professor Slughorn was stunned to see him, as were Flitwick and all the others present. Dumbledore stood up with a raised eyebrow, surprised that Severus was here—and with Fawkes.
"Hello, Headmaster," Severus said in a calm tone, staring at all the professors sweating at the sight of him after everything that had happened.
"Lord Prince... Why do you honor us with your presence?" Dumbledore said, still with some caution.
"I'd like to have lunch first, if that's not a problem—with Rosaria here. Besides that, I'm only here to retrieve the items I left in the castle. We also need to talk about the Horcruxes," Severus said, while Dumbledore grew nervous.
"Very well, you may join us. Rosaria is also welcome as a Hogwarts professor. Moreover, I'd like to discuss that last matter in private—it is extremely dangerous," he said, while only Professor Slughorn seemed to have lost the ground beneath him. No one else quite understood what a Horcrux was. Severus didn't think it was something worth such alarm, but he agreed to go to the table.
Severus and Rosaria sat down among a group of professors visibly nervous at his presence. On one side, a professor whom the Ministry had tried to attack along with him in the chamber; on the other, the boy who destroyed several houses and the Dark Lord.
Everyone knew that not even the headmaster could handle Severus Prince. He was the most powerful dark wizard to ever exist.
"Professor Flitwick, this belongs to your house." Severus took out the diadem and levitated it over to the professor, who was stunned.
"This is..." All the professors were shocked by it.
"Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem," Severus said.
"This is incredible, Severus Snape... how did you acquire this?" Dumbledore was surprised.
"Voldemort used it to place a fragment of his soul. I removed the Horcrux portion, and the item no longer contains dark magic," Severus said, leaving the headmaster speechless, despite his earlier request not to speak so openly about such things.
All the professors turned pale at hearing this, but Severus ignored their frightened looks and continued eating as the house-elves served his food beside Rosaria.
Lunch was quite awkward, and Severus paid no mind to their stares, continuing to chat with Rosaria as if nothing had happened.
"From what I've heard... I'll need to speak with your father about the engagement?" Severus raised an eyebrow.
"Of course, we're from a very old family... He'll want you to talk to him," Rosaria said.
"Sorry to interrupt, Lord Prince... but are you engaged to Rosaria Valenstein?" Dumbledore asked, curious.
"Yes..." Severus confirmed.
"That is surprising," he said, though he had his own thoughts about it while Severus sat there feeding Fawkes, who didn't leave his side—causing a certain discomfort for Dumbledore.
In any case, Severus continued on with Rosaria and the headmaster to his office. They were about to have a rather long conversation now, about the Horcruxes and how to destroy them all before eliminating Voldemort once and for all.
