Both stared at each other, releasing their auras, while the place seemed to shake furiously with the mana of both.
The ant realized that the human's aura was even more powerful than its own — and even if it was only slightly above, that shocked it — before it tried to release even more energy, forcing itself to match the power of its opponent, believing he was also pushing himself.
Then it attacked.
Before Severus could do anything, the creature moved quickly, throwing a punch at Severus and hitting him directly in the face. He did not dodge. The entire ground exploded at that moment. All the shadows remained silent, while the entire environment turned into chaos.
"Weak," the ant said in the midst of dust and debris, looking at the human who had not even managed to dodge its strike and took the full blow, with the ant believing his head was no longer connected to his neck.
The ant was surprised when the dust began to settle and it saw the human visibly fine, only leaning slightly with his face turned a little to the side after receiving the blow, but still standing and without any apparent damage.
"!" The ant was still puzzled, while Severus turned his face back toward it before spitting out a bit of blood from his mouth, as its powerful punch had only caused a small injury to that human.
Severus simply turned his face back forward and stared at it again as if nothing had happened.
The creature seemed to not know what to say besides staring at him, incredulous. This left it open, and Severus made his left hand begin to glow blue. He used his telekinesis to pull the creature closer, forcing it to almost kneel with the invisible power, and at the same time, Severus closed the fist of his right hand and thrust it directly toward the creature.
It took the punch directly to its face, making the ant's world stagger as it was pushed backward, but it managed not to take a single step, staying in place, while its face contorted even further than where the punch had driven it.
Severus's punch had created a shockwave that hurled several ants far back behind the humanoid creature.
Both remained still for a few seconds in the same positions, with Severus still studying the creature that, even with that powerful punch, did not seem to have been injured.
Then the creature came back with an attack, punching Severus once more at high speed. The human raised his forearm to block the strike and responded with a punch to the creature's abdomen.
But the ant-king was not intimidated. It threw new punches, and Severus responded the same way. A flurry of blows was exchanged between the two, in the midst of chaos, while explosions erupted across that part of the structure, as the entire place trembled and each explosion generated a powerful gust of wind.
At the same time, Severus's shadows did not stop attacking the ants, as they began launching strikes against them, eliminating thousands while Kargalgan also unleashed his fire attacks, scorching thousands more.

'A fine harvest!' Severus commented, satisfied. He had thousands of ants to destroy in that place, and while his shadows were annihilating them, he was receiving the experience to level up even further.
He took a hit as he glanced at the system, his face turning to the side as the creature's fist connected, but Severus quickly moved his hand, pushing away his enemy's arm while landing a punch against the creature's chest.
'This guy is really tough...' Severus said as he prepared to attack again.
They continued exchanging blows with each other. Until, at one moment, Severus struck the creature's abdomen once more, this time with such force that it seemed to crush its exoskeleton. The creature couldn't hold on and was sent flying several dozen meters backward. It stopped, frustrated, before rushing at its enemy again at high speed.
It tried to surprise him as it approached. The same tongue it had used before shot out of its mouth and grew rapidly. Severus noticed it was covered in toxic substances, launching itself toward him. But before it could touch him, his hand grabbed it, pulling it even harder.
Severus yanked the ant forward and punched with such intensity that its body disappeared for an instant from sight, while the ant-king was hurled backward violently, crashing into a wall and making it explode fifty meters away.
Igris had already recovered at that moment, while Severus ignored the damaged wall and looked at the hand that had grabbed the tongue. It had purple veins just from touching that venom-covered thing.
[System: Purifying...!]
Soon the side effects disappeared and Severus's hand was once again clean. Igris reached his side at that moment.
"I want you to keep eliminating every ant, down to the last one, understand?" Severus said while Igris nodded.
Severus looked toward the destroyed wall while the echo of the destruction still rippled throughout the area.
Then the destroyed wall began to tremble and more debris crumbled away, until the creature inside emerged into the air, flying.
"Now it has wings?" Severus asked, looking with interest at the small wings on the creature's back.
Thinking about it, there were more cocoons in that place, nothing as extraordinary as the one belonging to this talking ant. The ants had been multiplying and evolving down there the whole time... perhaps even since last year, to have created such a massive number of them.
He couldn't help but be stunned at the thought that Hogwarts could have been massacred at any moment last year. After all, even without this ant, he didn't yet have the power of his shadows and was still only at level 50 until the end of the year... If he had had to face those monsters, he would have died.
Anyway, he let go of that thought, he had the chance to deal with them there.
The ant king continued staring at him as if studying him. 'Poison is useless, testing strength is also ineffective... In that case...'
Suddenly, the ant's aura changed, becoming redder in that moment. It began to glow, the body that was bluish turned more red and at the same time, its mana increased several times over.
The explosion of wind created pushed Severus's clothes backward along with his hair, but he did not stop staring at the creature the whole time, challenging it.
The creature's claws grew larger, as sharp as Severus's blades, its wings became smaller and the creature's bones also shifted inside.
"He must get much faster like this..." Severus commented as he watched the creature's transformation, but he did not seem afraid of it.
Both his hands opened, and with lightning, Baran's two daggers appeared in his hands.
They stared at each other for a moment, before both disappeared. Severus was soon in the air with Severus clashing against the creature's claws, quickly moving at high speed before disappearing and reaching the ground.
The ant flew toward Severus as both quickly entered a fight of daggers and claws, at a speed that even Severus's shadows could not properly follow.
Their clash soon moved as they ran across the area in the next moment. It looked like a red and blue light rapidly exploding with impact before running along one of the area's pillars, circling around it as they climbed. Any ant in the way was thrown aside or destroyed in the middle of their attacks.
When they reached the top of the pillar, it broke due to their clash, while Severus fell, unable to fly like the ant. It took advantage of this and quickly rushed toward Severus, who used some of the falling stones as support.
Blue and red blade streaks were seen clashing against each other at that point. Severus managed to withstand all of the creature's attacks until they reached the ground.
'The speed of this human is getting higher?!' the ant murmured, not understanding how that was possible.
So it decided to launch itself completely at Severus, its eyes glowing red, and Severus seemed to understand. Because he quickly moved with the same intensity, his eyes glowing blue and lightning activating throughout his body with magic.
In the next moment, both disappeared as they collided with each other harder than before, and the next instant they shot off in some direction, passing through ants and shadows, destroying anyone who stood in the way of their attacks.
Kargalgan was still unleashing flames when he saw his king advancing with the enemy toward the center.
'Get out of the way and stay down here until the last of the ants is gone.' That was Severus's order as the shadow leapt from the entrance of the hole along with Severus and the ant king, entering it a moment later.
Both continued along the path, clashing with one another like two lights striking and rising upward. Severus did not want the creature going to Hogwarts, but that was exactly where it was heading.
He also needed a more open space.
Salazar was irritated by the noises outside during the entire night. He didn't know what was happening, but it seemed like there were some kind of magical creatures, and in large numbers.
The sounds, tremors, and wind… the castle seemed to have gone mad and something was happening outside, and he was frustrated that he couldn't see what was actually going on.
It was at that moment that the door of his lair was shattered, and he was stunned when two beings—no, a person and a creature—burst out of the passage, trying to kill each other the moment they emerged and entered the Chamber of Secrets.
"What is this?!" he asked, shocked, as the one in blue delivered a blow that sent the creature flying back toward where they had come from.
"Salazar." Severus turned toward the portrait.
"You!" Salazar said, stunned to see Severus Snape there.
"Don't concern yourself with me anymore." With those words, Severus became lightning and shot upward as the creature was already flying toward him.
The floor of the third-floor bathroom exploded, as the red and blue forces burst outward, breaking through the wall while the ghost girl screamed in fear, not understanding what was happening—now that the creatures had vanished, her bathroom had suddenly been destroyed.
"Something's coming!!" said an auror examining the body of one of the ants in the corridor, when something passed them. He barely finished the sentence when he and two colleagues were knocked down, the wind so fast they couldn't do anything or even clearly see what happened besides two lights colliding for a moment at the start of the corridor and then already at the end of it the next instant.
All of Hogwarts's students were outside. The red and blue lights moving through the windows and across the castle caught their attention as everyone pointed at the building, watching the lights move at high speed, until they rose along one of the towers, the lights flashing past the windows, and then the Gryffindor tower shattered at that moment, with both forces flying to the roof of Hogwarts—Severus and the ant, fighting one another in a high-speed clash with their weapons.
