Chapter 259 - Chapter 259: Home

[3rd POV]

After a long and quite enjoyable movie, Gwen had returned to her old room. She had wanted to bring the girls with her, but her father had given her a rather...obvious glare, so she decided to drop it and sleep in her room alone for the first time in like two years.

And after a pretty good sleep, Gwen was now in the living room, eating some breakfast alongside the girls and Dick. Bruce was out doing...who the hell knows what, while Dick decided to take a few days off from hero duties to spend time with his sister that he hadn't seen in so long.

"So, what're you going to do now that you're back?" Dick asked, as Gwen hummed.

"Well besides seeing the team? I want to get some objects and minerals that are native to this multiverse, ones that I cannot find anywhere else, and can't create myself. Some of them are very important to a project of mine, so I'll have to go and get them soon" Gwen responded, knowing that she needed several special materials that were native to this place

"And what about the League? Are you going to go and see them?" Dick asked, as Gwen blinked at the question. She hadn't really thought about them in a while, as she knew that they weren't very fond of her due to some of her previous actions, and even now a lot of them probably didn't like her.

She remembered Captain Atom almost instantly.

"Not sure. They aren't exactly fond of me after some previous actions that I have taken. And quite frankly, I don't really like most of them nowadays anyways. Ever since I went to the other multiverse, I grew and understood a lot about the way of things. And that sort of just made their issues become more and more obvious to me" Gwen responded to Dick who let out a sigh, but nodded in understanding.

He wasn't exactly the biggest fan of the League either, thanks to their very open dislike of Gwen and what she has done in the past. As it was basically public knowledge in the League, that she had killed people, a lot of people.

But they also couldn't do anything to stop her, especially not now that she was stronger than all of them...put together.

Afterall, she has fought and defeated entities that could obliterate planets, stars, and galaxies. Defeating the League would be easy as shit for someone as powerful as her.

"How does the team feel about me?" Gwen asked, knowing that the Young Justice team had been growing over the time she had been gone.

"They support you even now, Gwen, they never stopped supporting you. Just like I and Bruce have never stopped supporting you and never will" Dick responded with a smile, as Gwen chuckled.

"And how did the team handle losing most of it's members?" Artemis asked on the side, as Dick hummed.

"Well we got some replacements, actually. Zatanna is a permanent member, some cousin of Superman called "Supergirl", a protege of Wonder Woman called "Wonder Girl" her actual name being Dinah. The team is honestly a lot stronger than it used to be, and we've been handling ourselves even without you guys" Dick responded, as Gwen raised an eyebrow at the names.

'Supergirl and Wonder Girl? How interesting. Seems me taking out Darkseid and so many villains has influenced this universe quite a bit. Probably a good thing though' Gwen thought, not really seeing a problem with their additions.

They were both powerful and good people. Although she doubted that Supergirl would like her, considering some of her actions in the past, and her strained relationship with Superman. But it does matter what version of Supergirl this was.

Either way it didn't matter that much, as she didn't plan on interacting with them much. And either way, none of the heroes on this planet could touch her, much less harm her.

Although there was still cosmic entities in this universe that could potentially be a problem, but she doubted they'd come after her, and the ones that would, are likely still not strong enough to really do anything.

"Interesting, didn't realize Supes had a cousin or that Wonder Woman had a protege" Artemis muttered, a bit surprised but like Gwen, she didn't really care too much about the additions. She was more interested in seeing her old friends after two years.

But even more importantly, she was excited to see her Mom and Sister. Just like M'gann was excited to see her uncle.

Gwen had a rather important conversation with Artemis before they had come here. One that was involving her mother and sister. It was more so an offer to Artemis regarding them. As Gwen knew that she could bring people from other multiverses with them, so she offered her girlfriend to bring them to Malzif where they could live.

She would have offered the same thing to M'gann but she knew for a fact that J'onn would not accept that offer. So instead, she'd give it to Artemis's mother and sister.

Artemis was pretty confident that her mom would accept, but she had no idea about her sister. As her sister was still connected to this world to a certain degree. But thanks to Gwen owning and running the League...it was kind of just a flip of the coin in regards to whether or not she will accept.

Artemis really hoped she would.

"Yeah they sorta just came out of nowhere. But they're both pretty nice people, strong too. Although Supergirl is a bit...hot headed at times, but that's probably because of her background. I mean, watching your entire planet blow up before you would probably have some pretty nasty effects on your mental state" Dick responded, as Gwen nodded.

"Yeah it's only natural that she's a little...damaged. I'm sure she'll eventually get through it though, she'll just need to live on Earth for a little while and she'll get used to life here" Gwen replied.

"I sure hope so, as I can't say I like having to watch myself so she doesn't break me in half or something. And I don't really want to be in the middle of another argument between her and Connor either" Dick said, remembering the time they had fought.

Connor got completely and utterly destroyed in that fight, of course, but it did destroy a large part of the cave, and nearly hurt other members of the team, at least, him and Kaldur.

"And how's Kaldur doing? Still going after that girl in Atlantis?" M'gann asked with an interested gleam in her eyes.

"Nope, she got with someone else. But he did come out as Bi, so he might have a guy he's interested in. He's really secretive when it comes to relationship stuff" Dick responded with a shake of his head, as the girls who knew him all looked a little surprised, except for Gwen.

Korra and Jean just seemed lost, but listened in either way.

"Kaldur's Bi? Wow, good for him" Artemis said with a surprised smile.

"Wow! Maybe we can help him find a boyfriend or something?" M'gann hummed, as Artemis nodded, deciding that that would be something they'd need to do.

While the girls were talking about ways to get Kaldur a boyfriend, Gwen just listened in, one thought on her mind as a soft smile was on her face as her brother began to speak with them.

'...I've missed this place'
