"This won't work; we'll be worn out by it." Mo Han shouted, feeling his stamina rapidly depleting.
"I know." Qing Shuang replied, aware of the dire situation, though she had no better plan.
Luo Chen saw that Mo Han and Qing Shuang were struggling and realized he could no longer wait. He took a deep breath, drew a dagger from his back, and stealthily approached the black-scaled monster.
When the black-scaled monster attacked Mo Han with its claws again, Luo Chen seized the opportunity and charged forward, viciously stabbing the monster's nape with his dagger.
"Aow!" The black-scaled monster let out a scream, surprised by the sneak attack, its body shuddering violently.
Luo Chen's dagger pierced the monster's nape but didn't inflict a fatal injury, merely causing it pain. The black-scaled monster turned in fury, its blood-red eyes locked onto Luo Chen as if to tear him to pieces.
