The massive body of the nine-headed serpent slowly swam in the lake.
"Damn humans, how dare you escape!" The nine heads of the nine-headed serpent roared angrily in unison, "Don't let me catch you again, or I'll tear you to pieces!"
It swam around the lake but couldn't find any trace of Luo Qingchen, growing more irate.
"Hmph, lucky you ran fast!" The nine-headed serpent snorted coldly, "Next time, you won't be so lucky!"
As it prepared to dive to the lake bottom, it suddenly sensed something.
"Hmm?" The nine-headed serpent suddenly lifted its head and looked toward the lake's edge.
There stood a young man, coldly staring at it from the lakeside.
"A human?" The nine-headed serpent was taken aback, "It's you!"
It recognized Luo Qingchen, the human it had previously injured and who had escaped.
