Dushan Witch wasn't seeing things; the Magic Cottage indeed split, forcefully pulled out by shadowy tentacles, the one yanked out was clearly not real, but composed of pure white mist, exuding an aura identical to the white mist chains binding the Nightmare Dream Realm.
