Are healing mechanism cores useful?
It's not that they're completely useless, but their utility is hardly worth occupying a slot for mechanism cores.
Swapping them out for another type of mechanism core, even one that enhances speed, offers a better cost-performance ratio than a healing type!
When facing the fleets of the War Hundred Clans, most attacks are instant kills; what use is a healing mechanism core?
Even if you have the luck to survive, can you ensure the enemy won't finish you off? Even if they don't, the residual splash damage from those cannons isn't something the grievously injured can withstand.
In such situations, don't count on allies having the spare time to drag the gravely wounded off the field.
Whether one can survive after being severely injured comes down to luck.
