In fact, there is a paradox in the Observer's protocol.
That is, "Observers must not interfere with the normal process of the world" and "Observers can provide assistance when necessary." These two are mutually exclusive regulations, and such an obvious contradiction cannot be a bug, as this protocol has existed in Centaur civilization for more than fourteen hundred years. Generations of sages have adhered to it, so it's impossible that no one discovered such an obvious loophole.
But it has never been fixed, because there is actually a story behind it.
