As I stepped back into Nazarick, the grand halls welcomed me with their familiar, dark majesty. The ever-present sense of overwhelming power that radiated from this place made it feel like an unshakable fortress—a domain that belonged to me alone.
Waiting for me in the throne room were three of Nazarick's finest—Albedo, Demiurge, and Solution Epsilon. The moment I entered, they all kneeled in unison, their heads lowered in reverence.
"Welcome back, my lord," Albedo spoke first, her voice carrying the perfect blend of authority and devotion.
"We have been eagerly awaiting your return," Demiurge followed, his usual sharp grin in place. "Your next journey shall be of great significance."
Solution, ever composed yet exuding a strange allure, simply smiled. "We are prepared to serve in any way you desire, my lord."
I stepped forward, my eyes sweeping over them. "Rise."
They obeyed immediately, standing in perfect formation.
Albedo stepped closer. "May I assume your matters in the DxD world have been settled, my lord?"
I nodded. "For now, yes. There was nothing urgent left to attend to." My gaze flicked to Demiurge. "I assume you're prepared for our next adventure?"
Demiurge adjusted his glasses, his golden eyes gleaming with excitement. "Of course, my lord. I have made all the necessary preparations. The opportunity to experiment in a new world is nothing short of a blessing."
Albedo smiled approvingly. "Demiurge has been most eager for this. He has refined his methods with the limited subjects available, but true progress will require more... variety."
I smirked. "I expected as much." My gaze then shifted to Solution. "And you, Solution? You wish to accompany us?"
Solution tilted her head slightly, her eerie, almost doll-like beauty making her expression difficult to read. "If my lord permits it, I would love to indulge in the... delicacies of a new world." Then she looked at me lustfully.
It seems Lupus has told her experience with all the Pleiades.
A chuckle rumbled in my throat. Solution was always a peculiar one, her desires as twisted as they were refined. "Then it's settled. The three of you will accompany me."
Demiurge's smirk widened. "A wise decision, my lord. If this world truly accommodates Yggdrasil magic, as you suspect, then the implications are... fascinating."
At those words, Albedo's expression briefly darkened. It was subtle—just a flicker of something dangerous in her golden eyes before she masked it with a composed smile.
I noticed, of course. I always noticed.
Demiurge adjusted his glasses again. "Our primary objective should be the exploration and classification of this new world's potential. Understanding its rules and inhabitants will allow us to establish dominance more efficiently."
What is he saying? But whatever Demiurge is saying benefits Nazarick and me; I just nodded along with him.
"Exactly. This time, we'll proceed more carefully. Nazarick is powerful, but we must always remain prepared."
Solution clapped her hands together, an excited glint in her eyes. "I look forward to the hunt, my lord."
Albedo regained her usual composure. "Then, shall we depart at your command?"
I nodded. "Prepare yourselves. A new world awaits us."
I turned away from them and focused on what came next. "So," I said, shifting my attention elsewhere, "wish me good luck, Death."
Her voice echoed in my mind, smooth and familiar. "You don't need more luck than you already have, dear."
I smirked. "That you're right about."
With that, I opened my system interface, the familiar glow of text and options appearing before my eyes. I scrolled through the list and selected my next world.
