Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Release

After finishing the filming of Home Alone, Hayden hired an agent because he knew that after the release of Home Alone, he would definitely become popular. By then, he needed someone to take care of all the trouble that would follow. If he waited until after the release of the movie before finding an agent, then he would be an idiot. In the end, he hired an agent named Tracy Jacobs.

Today is already the beginning of August. Two months have passed since the end of the filming of Home Alone, but Hayden still has not decided which book to read when Home Alone is published. When he suddenly received a call from Tracy, after the brief salutation, Tracy said, "Hayden, I have found an excellent opportunity for you."

Hayden immediately became a little disgusted and said, "Mrs. Tracy, have I not said to you that I don't want to play in any movie before Home Alone was released?"

Tracy replied, "I also didn't intend to bother you, but I think it's an excellent opportunity if you pass the audition. It's for the movie of James Cameron, for the role of John Connor mentioned in Terminator 1."

Hayden immediately became a little embarrassed after hearing her answer but at the same time couldn't help lamenting that having an agent really saves trouble. After thinking about it, he accepted.

After accepting the audition, he knows that if he really succeeded in the audition and did two consecutive but different movies that won the box office champion of the year, he would definitely be sought after by those in Hollywood.

In fact, Tracy decided to become Hayden's agent because he was recommended by director Columbus. When Columbus showed her the video of Hayden acting, she immediately accepted it.

Hayden has some confidence in his acting skill after all; in his last life, he was also an actor. But to be safe, on the day of the audition, he spent the 900 praise he received during the past few months and bought a lucky charm that can increase his luck by 5% for one day. Note that it cannot be superimposed.

After a month of auditioning, thanks to the fact that he was nine years old and had already acted as the male lead in a movie that was not released, and thanks to his acting skill, Tracy received a call that told her that Hayden had succeeded in the audition and she needed to come to sign the contract.

Tracy was very happy and like everyone, optimistic about Terminator 2. She knew that once everything went as planned, Hayden would become a star child after the release.

The shooting of Terminator 2 began on October 9, so one month and seven days have passed since the beginning of the shooting. Today was the release day of Home Alone.

James Cameron had no choice but to allow Hayden to attend the premiere, so Hayden and his family came for the movie as it did.

The movie began when Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy who lives with his large extended family in a suburb of Chicago. The McCallisters are preparing for a Christmas vacation trip to Paris. Amidst the chaos of getting ready, Kevin gets into an argument with his family and is sent to sleep in the attic as punishment.

During the night, a power outage resets the family's alarm clocks, causing them to oversleep. In the rush to make it to the airport on time, Kevin is accidentally left behind. Initially reveling in his newfound freedom, Kevin soon realizes he's home alone and begins to miss his family.

Meanwhile, Harry and Marv, a pair of burglars known as the "Wet Bandits," are casing the neighborhood and targeting empty houses for robbery. They notice the McCallister home and plan to break in on Christmas Eve.

Kevin takes matters into his own hands and decides to defend his home from the burglars. He sets up a series of elaborate traps, utilizing household items and his creativity, to thwart the burglars' attempts to enter the house.

As Kevin outsmarts the burglars with his clever traps, the house becomes a chaotic battleground. Despite facing numerous setbacks, Harry and Marv are determined to capture Kevin and continue with their robbery plans.

In the meantime, Kevin's mother, Kate, realizes that they left Kevin behind and desperately tries to find a way back to him. After failed attempts to reach Kevin by phone and with the help of a polka band, she eventually secures a flight back to Chicago.

On Christmas morning, the burglars finally corner Kevin inside the house. However, just as they are about to capture him, Kevin's neighbor, Old Man Marley, intervenes and subdues the burglars, allowing Kevin to escape.

Kate arrives home and reunites with Kevin, and the rest of the family returns shortly afterward. They reconcile and celebrate Christmas together. Kevin's adventure teaches him the importance of family and the value of home, while also proving that he's capable of taking care of himself in unexpected circumstances.

The movie received $23 million on the first weekend of its release, $6 million more than the original time and space, which immediately became a success and made Hayden a child star. Fox immediately caught fire and wanted Hayden to do the publicity, but he refused on the grounds that he was filming and needed to concentrate on the filming. In fact, he was really lazy to waste time doing the publicity, but how could Fox eat this set? In the end, he compromised and decided to do an interview but unexpectedly received an invitation from the Oprah Winfrey show, so he was glad to accept it.
