Gu Yi'an was startled.
She glared at Rong Zhan, "Why don't you make any sound when you walk?"
"I do." Rong Zhan's gaze was very direct, as if it would never bend, "There was sound; you just didn't hear it."
Gu Yi'an felt helpless, "Fine, fine, I didn't hear it. But why are you up? Don't you sleep well? Look at your eyes, they're so red. People might mistake you for a rabbit."
"A call from Xiao Hu?" Rong Zhan ignored Gu Yi'an's teasing and asked directly.
"Yes." Gu Yi'an didn't hide anything, "Sister Xiao Hu asked about you. I told her you're doing well, to put her at ease. She said the case has new developments and will take a few more days."
Rong Zhan nodded lightly and turned to leave.
Gu Yi'an frowned, unable to hold back, she called out to Rong Zhan.
Rong Zhan stopped but did not turn around.
"Rong Zhan, are you angry that Sister Xiao Hu insisted on taking this case, or is it something else?" Gu Yi'an couldn't help but ask.
