Zhang Yu considers herself a cold person, with average relationships with others, and a demeanor that says "don't bother me" all over.
But during the days she spent on the ship, she could definitely be considered a social butterfly; too many people wanted to chat with her.
Initially, it was inquiries about the situation in Harbor City, but over time, the topics expanded, from domestic and international classics to current trends, as well as the delicacies from Harbor City, Zhang Yu could talk about them all effortlessly.
What surprised them even more was that, although Zhang Yu had never been abroad, she spoke fluent English.
"Originally, my family hoped I could study abroad and hired a foreign language tutor for me," Zhang Yu explained tactfully why her English was so good.
As for being able to speak fluent Cantonese shortly after arriving in Harbor City, she said, "Once there, speaking Mandarin was possible, but more people spoke Cantonese."
