Dora flung her sleeves and left, slamming the door so hard it sounded like thunder. Wei Anning stood in the center of the room, unmoving like a mountain.

Night Shadow followed behind Dora back to the Duke Mansion. Seeing Dora slam the door and leave, she knocked and entered, only to see the desolate figure standing before the floor-to-ceiling window.
Despite having won a brilliant victory, there wasn't the slightest trace of happiness on her; instead, she seemed even lonelier.
"Miss Anning." Night Shadow called to her softly from behind.
Wei Anning snapped out of it, turned, and looked at her, "You're back?"
