Xiao Yu was smart enough to immediately understand what Gong Ting meant. Obviously, last night Yhan Xi and Old Master Gong intended to calculate against them, so Gong Ting shielded her from that drink.
"How did you know there was something wrong with the drink?" Xiao Yu asked.
"It's not the first time Old Master has tried to calculate against me. You remember last time at the Gong residence when I was drugged? He always wants to dictate my life, but I refuse to comply. Now he's certainly overwhelmed and has no time to bother me," Gong Ting said, playing with her hair casually.
Xiao Yu really couldn't understand Old Master Gong's logic, "Why would your father drug you and try to pair you with Yhan Xi?"
"Who knows what he's thinking?" Gong Ting replied coldly.
Xiao Yu was uneasy at heart. Old Master Gong drugging Gong Ting to make him sleep with Yhan Xi was likely aimed at her, so long as they cooked the rice, she would certainly mind.
