Chapter 37 - reveal of beast king

Morning light spilled across the Beast Realm as I and my companions donned the masks from my Infinite Ring. We approached the castle gates, where beast guards stood vigilant.

I provoked them deliberately. "Hey, you fools! Suitable only for being called fools—guarding a cowardly Beast King who hides behind you!"

The guards snarled, chasing me away from the castle. My companions slipped inside, knocking out the remaining guards with their skills. None of the beast citizens noticed—the chaos was contained within the castle walls.

Through telepathy, the Dragon Princess whispered, The guards are down. Kill those chasing you and return quickly.

I shifted my sword into a bow. Arrows of light formed, shocking the beast guards. Their instincts betrayed them—they leaned into the path of my aim, and fell. Catastrophic points surged into me.

The Shift Sword murmured to the Holy Eye, What is this form? Arrows from my body, striking at range…

The Holy Eye replied, He is something rare. His resolve is reversed by knowledge not of this world. Without him, I would have remained silent. He gave me a vessel. Without it, I would have died.

I hardened my heart. Killing other races brought catastrophic points. Guilt flickered, but I buried it. No hesitation. No weakness.

We regrouped and entered the Beast King's chamber. A voice thundered:

"Oh, intruders. You dare challenge me? I am legend level, the rarest and highest. I care nothing for your identity. I will spare you if you give me the Dragon Princess."

I turned to her. "You know what to do. Quickly. I cannot bear his sluggish face."

She stepped forward, eyes blazing, declaring her challenge.

Then I saw him clearly. My breath caught. The Beast King was Clever Claris—once my comrade, a berserker.

He laughed. "Can you feel it? My Beast Berserker Skill—greater than normal berserk. My Beast Reflex Skill—sharpened instincts. My Physique Skill—strength rivaling enchanters. My Consciousness Skill—I remain aware even in berserk state. This class is hidden, not a mere title. You cannot defeat me with normal skills."

The clash began. Dragon Princess, one of the top five strongest races, fought him blow for blow. Mana drained from both.

Yevna, now Witch, used Mana Stealer, siphoning Clever's energy to fuel the Princess.

I stepped forward, removing my mask. "Do not kill him. But know this—you mocked me. You will die by your own arrogance."

With satisfaction, I struck. Clever Claris fell, his legend extinguished.

Thus, the Beast King is slain. Dransart fulfills part of his mission, but the Princess of Beast Realm remains missing. The path to Catastrophic Soldier continues, shadowed by betrayal, guilt, and the weight of destiny.
