Chapter 45 - reveal of Fairy realm's intruder

The darkness of the prison had been chaos. As a slime, I had bounced against roots, leaving marks across my body. Guards rushed in with light wisps, but I slipped past their feet, escaping with countless footprints stamped upon me.

The Holy Eye mocked me. Why not use Vampire King class? As a bat, you could see in the dark.

I growled, "Why didn't you say that earlier?"

Because your clumsiness was amusing. You even scared the prisoners like a pervert, it teased.

Anger burned, but my Random Future Vision activated, guiding me to leap a hundred-metre wall. I shifted into bat form, flew into a chamber, and returned to human shape. Using Elf King class, I cast Sleep Lullaby, sending the occupant into slumber.

It was the Fairy Princess.

I froze. Why am I kidnapping her? The vision showed this, but now it's real.

The Shift Sword chuckled. Boss, you look like the villain now. Kidnapping princesses? Better run before the guards catch you.

I shook my head. "Idiot. Our mission is to ensure her crown accession. I'll hide her somewhere safe."

I placed her in a cupboard, then lay in bed, feigning sleep.

A figure entered. My vision flared again. I shifted into Witch King class, transforming into the Fairy Princess.

"Brother," I said softly, "are you sure you don't want to be Fairy King because of me?"

The Fairy Prince replied, "I am fine. I am not blood-related. If I became king, it would bring despair."

I held him, spacing out. This was in the vision…

"Even if you don't become king, you are still my young brother."

He frowned. "Who are you? My sister always called me little sister. You call me young brother."

Before I could answer, an intruder burst into the chamber—blade ready to kill the Fairy Prince.

I tore off my mask, shifting into Hero class.

"How are you, my dear friend… Bange."

The assassin sneered. "So it was a trap by the Fairy Prince. But I am the famous killer. I don't get caught."

I clenched my fist. If he had joined me in the Impenetrable Labyrinth, I might have spared him. But now… this ends quickly.

Thus, Dransart confronts Bange, the assassin, in the Fairy Princess's chamber. The clash of visions and reality tightens, and the mission to secure the Fairy Queen's succession reaches its critical moment.
