Chapter 52 - Reveal of last key

Dransart and Reverna Pocket left the underground halls of the Hellish Organisation, their steps echoing with purpose. Ahead lay the final trial—Resurrection City. This city was unlike the others, for it held souls on the cusp of rebirth, half-ghosts shimmering with the potential to return to flesh and blood.

At the Gates

The guards sneered as they saw them approach. "Where are you going, two beauties? This is Resurrection City. Get lost."

Dransart, already shifting into Witch King Class to disguise his appearance, answered calmly, "We hold the four keys. That should grant us entry."

The guards laughed crudely. "If you can't resurrect, then come with me. I'll give you pleasure in bed."

Dransart's eyes narrowed. "If we fail resurrection, we'll come for you. Wait patiently." With that, he and Pocket entered the city.

Inside Resurrection City

The streets were filled with half-ghosts, their forms flickering between spirit and flesh. Each carried the hope of resurrection, their eyes fixed on the mortal world.

Pocket asked softly, "Are we going to resurrect too? To live again with flesh and bone?"

Dransart shook his head. "Why rush? We already hold more power than resurrection could grant. Follow me faithfully."

Yet as he walked, he realized something troubling. There are no beggars here. Everyone seeks resurrection. Without beggars, how do I find the subordinate? Confusion clouded his thoughts.

Pocket noticed. "Why do you look lost?"

Dransart admitted, "I cannot find the subordinate. Perhaps I must return to the Hellish Organisation for information."

Pocket smiled knowingly. He thinks of challenging a city king. But let's see what fate brings. She said aloud, "I know where the subordinate is. Follow me."

The Cultist Group

Pocket led him into a hidden sect. "This group believes the mortal world is cruel. They prefer to remain here. Their leader is the subordinate of Resurrection City."

At the entrance, Pocket presented a VVIP card. The cultist demanded a password. Pocket whispered, "Password," and they were admitted.

Dransart chuckled inwardly. Why does every door open with that word?

The Subordinate's Chamber

The subordinate greeted them. "I've heard rumors—someone seeks to defeat the Hell King. The timing of your arrival suggests you are that person."

Dransart replied, "Rumors spread too quickly. I don't have time to explain. Give me your key." He reached for his mask.

The subordinate raised a hand. "Don't think subordinates hand out keys easily. You must fight me, child."

Dransart removed his mask. His Legend Aura surged, filling the chamber. Pocket trembled, the subordinate stiffened, but he did not yield. Instead, he summoned his strongest cultist—a Dead Legend Ghost.

The Battle

The ghost lunged, its attack aimed to crush Dransart. Calmly, Dransart shifted into Fairy King Class and invoked Illusion World. The cultist struck only phantoms, bewildered.

The subordinate muttered, "Has he gone mad?"

Dransart's voice cut through. "Even your strongest cannot stand against me. Obediently give me the key, or your level will sink to nothing."

The subordinate hesitated, then surrendered. "Take it. Do not disappoint me."

Dransart accepted the Resurrection City Key.

Thus, Dransart secures the final key.

With Wrath, Pride, Lingering, and Resurrection keys in hand, the path to the Hell Tower opens. Seven floors await, culminating in the throne of the Hell King. The Princess remains missing, but her fate is tied to the battles ahead.
