Chapter 60 - Reveal of first round

The arena of the God Realm was filled with thousands of contestants, each vying for the position of Devil God. Among them, Kannan (Dransart in disguise) coincidentally encountered his estranged brothers from the Petvan family—Ace Petvan Ansar and Tear Petvan.

They mocked him cruelly. "You are Kannan, founder of the useless Zevan family. Run away from our sight."

Kannan lowered his gaze, replying softly, "Yes, brother. I will not dare fight you. I am here only to participate for fun."

The brothers sneered. "Exactly. You are here for fun. Finish quickly and crawl away."

The Certificate Test

As Kannan entered the competition grounds, a guard stopped him. "You must present a Holy Potential Certificate. Go to the granter."

Kannan complied, paying 100 divine coins and channeling his holy power into the crystal. The result shocked everyone—no holy potential.

The granter prepared to arrest him. "Impossible. Without holy potential, how did you acquire divine coins?"

Kannan explained calmly, "These coins came from the Petvan family. I am innocent."

Recognizing the truth, the granter reluctantly allowed him to proceed.

The Announcement

The God Father, the most powerful righteous god, addressed the crowd. "The Devil God dies at any time. Today, we begin the competition. Rounds are chosen randomly from the lottery pot."

The first round was drawn. "Written examination."

Gasps filled the hall. The God Father continued, "You may use holy power to find answers. This will be easy for those with potential. Best of luck."

The Written Examination

Kannan frowned. An open-book exam with holy power? I lack such ability.

The Holy Eye whispered, "I will lend you my vision. I can see holy power lines. Use them."

Kannan's sight shifted. He saw glowing lines of holy energy connecting participants. Each contestant used their holy power to copy answers, shielded by holy protection. The high holy potential families linked their lines together, blocking others while sharing answers among themselves.

Kannan clenched his fist. So this is their advantage. But I will not lose. I have Holy Eye.

He wrote swiftly, bypassing their barriers.

After the Exam

The gods murmured, confident. "We copied answers. We will pass easily."

The Novan family boasted loudly, "You fools may barely pass, but you cannot score high. We, the high holy potential families, will dominate. Prepare to lose in the next rounds."

Kannan observed quietly. These families are allied under conditions. I must be cautious around them.

Return to the Zevan House

After the exam, Kannan returned home with Dransart (the real Kannan in disguise). He bought food for the Zevan family. Together, they ate a fulfilling dinner and slept peacefully, their hearts momentarily free from the burdens of the competition.

Thus, the first round ends.

Kannan survives the written examination with the aid of Holy Eye, while the high holy potential families flaunt their dominance. The next round looms, unpredictable and perilous, as the path to Devil God grows ever more treacherous.
