"We would like to thank you two again for having us. Who knows what would've happened if we were left out in the woods unconscious." Said Arthur
"Really it was nothing." Responded Mrs. Ishikawa
"So what are y'all going to do now?"
"Well, if it's fine with y'all, we would like to stay here for a little bit. We can help out with anything you two would need help with."
"Sure I don't have any problem with it."
"Neither do I."
"Thank you very much."
"And please stop with the thank you's. We're just happy to help."
"But uh…"
"What is it?"
Ana and Arthur exchanged confused glances before turning their attention to Mr. Ishikawa.
"We only have 1 guest room."
Ana and Arthur now find themselves sharing the same room.

"I-I can sleep on the floor!" Arthur suggested
"I don't see any problem with us sharing a bed. I mean we already kissed."
"T-That was different! It was for your ability to work!"
"So you didn't like it?"
*Blushing* "N-No I didn't say that…"
"Cool then it's fine if we go all the way."
"NOT HOW THAT WORKS!!!"
"Fine. If it'll make you feel better, I guess you can sleep on the floor."
Arthur's sets up a make shift bed on the floor using a thick blanket.
*Still blushing* She was just joking right

"Goodnight my love." Ana said grinning
"Oh yes goodnigh-"

"HUH?!"
Arthur quickly jumped up out bed
"Love?!"
"Relax I'm still just teasing you…unless…"
"Please stop you're flustering me."
Ana let out a soft giggle.
"Yes yes I'm sorry. Goodnight Arthur~"
Arthur still flustered, let out a quiet sigh before laying back down.
"Goodnight."
The room fell into a calm silence as they both drifted off into a soothing slumber.

The next morning
Uuuuuggghh…Maybe I should've slept in the bed. The floor was so uncomfortable I could barely sleep.
"Arthur you ready!"
"Ready for?"
"To go hunting of course. You said that y'all would help out."
Oh yea I guess I did say that.
"Lemme get changed first."
"Ok just meet me out back."
"And while you boys do that. Imma help Ana learn to cook. She hasn't stopped bugging me since yesterday."
Ana came downstairs in a fully fitted cooking attire.
"I'm ready to learn your teachings sensei!"
"That's the spirit!"
Well at least Ana's having fun.
A few moments later.
"So what exactly will we be hunting?"
"Monsters of course! What else is there to hunt."
"YOU'RE SAYING THOSE BIG CREATURES THAT CAN EASILY KILL US! ARE THEY EVEN EDIBLE!"
"Not all monsters are harmful. And of course they're edible. I'm not gonna make y'all eat poison."
"So what monsters are considered harmless."
"Well there are slimes but those guys don't really have all that much protein in them. So they're not really worth hunting."
"Ok so what is worth hunting?"
"Well let's see, we got wolves, bears-"
"WAIT, AREN'T WOLVES AND BEARS FERN-TIER MONSTERS?!"
"What? No, silly—they're Gibbon at best."
Huh? But there were definitely bears and wolves in that dungeon. Does that mean Mary lied? Then again she shouldn't have known about this worlds ranks anyway. Plus those monsters were no where near weak. Just what the hell is going on.
"Mr. Ishikawa may I ask something of you?"
"Sure what would you like to know?"
"Well, it's about abilities in this world. Let's say for example detection. Is it possible for detection to maybe fail? Or maybe there's different types of detection that exist?"
"Well when referring to detection, it's simply just a category for people with abilities that allow them to detect other things of the world. Whether it be NE, or another's ability, or even the potential that person holds. Hell it can even do small stuff like detect whether or not it's gonna rain or a persons current emotional state."
"I see…"
"However listen carefully because this is important, not all detectors detect the same things. It's a fundamental world law that people, while may be born with similar abilities, nobody is born with the exact same ability. So some detectors are able to detect stuff better than another detector who might miss it entirely. This applies to all ability categories-combative, intellectual, supportive, healing, manipulation, and many more to be come. Also the answer to your previous question would be both no and yes. Under the manipulation category, you have abilities that would be able to pull off an effect similar to an ability just randomly not working. These abilities directly manipulate a persons NE causing inference with that persons ability effectively making it either malfunction or ineffective all together. But an ability not working at all without such an interference has yet to happen."
Ok so maybe her detection only works on monsters? No because she explicitly stated she couldn't detect any abilities from either of us.
"Arthur?"
So was there some kind of interference with her detection? Our abilities were locked behind a conditional activation, could that be it?
"Earth to Arthur."
But I can't rule out the possibility that maybe one of our classmates was purposefully affecting her ability to keep their own a secret. No but then she wouldn't have been able to detect the monsters. Then again she could have been ly-
Suddenly a splash of water hit Arthur in the face snapping him back to reality.
"You good now?"
"O-Oh sorry. Just lost in thought."
"Well get your head straight. They may just be mere wolves and bears but they can still kill us. Always be alert."
"R-Right my bad."
Arthur forced a smile. He was too concerned about all the unanswered questions.
Arthur took a moment before taking a deep breath in and exhaling.
I'll worry about these questions later, right now I need to focus on getting used to life in this new world. It's also probably best that me and Ana keep what our abilities are a secret for for now.
"Alright Arthur it's time we go!"
Arthur clenched his fist before looking up toward Mr. Ishikawa, this time with a genuine smile.
"Right!"
I will do whatever I must to guarantee me and Ana's survival in this world, all while getting my revenge.
