The dude clearly got burned by him, but the knockout was credited to Carmen.
"What?" Carmen raised an eyebrow. "Are you dissatisfied with me getting the last hit?"
"Nope!" He quickly raised his hands and shook his head. "It's his fortune to die in your hands."
"Hmph, that's a given."
Some time later, Carmen glanced around and asked, "Where did his partner go? There's no way the shockwave impact will send her this far."
"She's probably waiting somewhere."
"Why?"
"Did you forget about the resurrection orb? As long as she picked it up and found a floating ship, she could resurrect him."
Despite the explanation, Carmen was more confused than ever. "Why would she want to resurrect scum like him?"
"She's being paid." He smiled bitterly. With just a single glance, he could tell Linda worked at some sort of escort agency. Her policy compelled her to always ensure the customer's satisfaction level.
