The gathered slayers immediately silenced themselves, their earlier chatter replaced with cautious observation. Only a Heavenly Sovereign could traverse space so effortlessly.

The elderly pavilion master, Lin Jinyu, raised her gaze. Her once calm demeanor shifted to surprise as she locked eyes on the figure.
"You… you've truly become a Heavenly Sovereign?" she exclaimed, her voice breaking the silence.
Xiao Ze offered her a respectful nod. "Greetings, senior."
Lin Jinyu quickly composed herself. "This is not the place for such discussions. Follow me."
Under the watchful eyes of the gathered Demon Slayers, Xiao Ze followed Lin Jinyu into the pavilion's inner chambers, where privacy was ensured.
Once alone, Lin Jinyu offered a slight bow. "Lin Jinyu, Pavilion Master of the Chaos Continent Division, greets the Demon King."
"Senior, there's no need for such formality. My position is but a result of circumstance," Xiao Ze said, raising his hands to defer her gesture.
Confirmation from the Grand Thousand Palace
Lin Jinyu shook her head with a smile. "Regardless of the circumstances, the Demon Slaying Token has acknowledged your contributions in defeating the extraterritorial demons. As the newly ascended Demon King, your status is officially recognized by the Grand Thousand Palace.
"As Demon King, you are entitled to respect and authority, even from those of my rank."
Her words carried genuine admiration.
She continued, "Originally, I had concerns. I worried your strength might still be at the Earth Sovereign level, making it difficult to uphold the title of Demon King. But now that you've attained the Heavenly Sovereign realm, many doubts will naturally dissipate.
"Although you've yet to reach the Saint tier Heavenly Sovereign level, your current power is sufficient to bear some of the responsibilities and privileges of the Demon King.
"However, to fully lead the Grand Thousand Palace and make decisions that affect our entire organization, you must first ascend to the Saint tier Heavenly Sovereign realm."
Lin Jinyu's explanation gave Xiao Ze insight into the current stance of the Grand Thousand Palace's leaders.

"Does assuming the title of Demon King prohibit the creation of one's own faction?" Xiao Ze asked.
Lin Jinyu shook her head. "Not at all. The Grand Thousand Palace itself is an alliance of forces across the Grand Thousand World, united against the extraterritorial demons.
"Many Heavenly Sovereigns who hold positions as guest elders also lead their own factions. The only requirement is that, should demons invade, all forces under the Grand Thousand Palace's banner must heed its commands."
Hearing this, Xiao Ze's heart lightened. The Grand Thousand Palace's recognition and support gave him a powerful ally without stifling his independence.
"Should I travel to the Grand Thousand Palace headquarters to meet the other Heavenly Sovereigns?"
"That won't be necessary," Lin Jinyu replied. "Your Demon King token alone is proof of your identity. Traveling to the headquarters is not mandatory unless summoned for critical matters."
Satisfied with the answers, Xiao Ze felt more at ease. The responsibilities of the Demon King seemed manageable, especially in times of peace.
