Chapter 822 - Chapter 822: The Enhancement of Origin

Chapter 822: The Enhancement of Origin

After completing her breakthrough, Qing Yanjing decided it was time to leave the Floating Tuo Plains.

The trial period within the plains typically lasted about a month. Such a precious training ground could not remain open indefinitely, as it required time for the Floating Tuo Towers within to recover.

According to Qing Yanjing, the Floating Tuo Plains had a self replenishing mechanism. As long as the towers were not completely drained or destroyed, they would gradually regenerate the Floating Tuo Essence they housed.

Xiao Ze couldn't help but marvel at the enduring strength of such an ancient clan.

With the Ancestor Tower to protect their realm and the Floating Tuo Plains serving as a generational training ground, the Floating Tuo Clan continuously produced young elites. Unless faced with an insurmountable disaster, their decline seemed nearly impossible.

Departure from the Floating Tuo Plains

After leaving the plains, Xiao Ze formally bid farewell to the Floating Tuo Clan's leader, Floating Tuo Tian.

"Clan leader, I've been imposing on your hospitality for far too long. Please forgive the trouble," Xiao Ze said respectfully.

Floating Tuo Tian smiled and waved a hand dismissively. His gaze shifted to Qing Yanjing, who stood beside Xiao Ze, a trace of helplessness in his expression.

"You seem to get along well with this girl. Stay a while longer if you'd like."

Xiao Ze chuckled.

"Thank you for the kind offer, clan leader. But as the master of the Source Realm, I can't neglect my responsibilities for too long. There's much to handle back home."

Floating Tuo Tian nodded in understanding, watching as Xiao Ze's figure vanished into a spatial passage.

Return to the Source Realm

Qing Yanjing accompanied Xiao Ze to the edge of the Floating Tuo Realm, watching his departure with a wistful sigh. She then returned to the clan, resolute in her decision to focus on her training, particularly in spirit arrays. The thought of falling behind Xiao Ze when they next met spurred her on.

Back in Tianluo City, the capital of the Tianluo Continent, Xiao Ze returned to find the city bustling with activity. In his absence, the realm had grown even more prosperous.

Upon achieving the rank of Grandmaster Spirit Array Master, Xiao Ze had undertaken a massive project, creating long distance transportation arrays linking Tianluo City to over a hundred nearby continents.

These arrays, built at great cost, had transformed Tianluo City into a hub of unparalleled connectivity. Each day, the transportation arrays saw millions of travelers coming and going, drawn by the city's treasures.

At the heart of this draw was the Source Realm's unparalleled supply of rare pills, surpassing even the ancient Myriad Grasslands and the Pill God Clan. This was thanks to the Dou Qi Continent's alchemical heritage, refined and developed under Xiao Ze's guidance.

Young alchemists from the Dou Qi Continent, viewing Xiao Ze as both mentor and benefactor, chose to establish their careers in the Source Realm. This influx of talent further bolstered the Source Realm's reputation as the new alchemical holy land of the Great Thousand World.

Reunion with Mandala

In the Source Realm's headquarters, Mandala was hard at work managing the realm's affairs. Dressed in her signature black dress, she radiated authority as she reviewed reports and issued directives.

When Xiao Ze appeared silently before her, she glanced up and rolled her eyes.

"So, you remember to come back? I hear the Floating Tuo Clan's grand tournament ended over a month ago."

Xiao Ze coughed awkwardly.

"Ah, well… Qing Yanjing invited me to assist with the Floating Tuo Trial afterward."

Mandala snorted, clearly unimpressed.

"I'm starting to think the real reason you wanted me to inherit the Heavenly Emperor's legacy was so I could handle all this paperwork while you gallivant around."

Xiao Ze laughed, shaking his head.

"Of course not! Though I must admit, you've been managing things so well you're like three people in one."

Mandala's eyes narrowed, her expression unimpressed.

"Enough flattery. Here." She tossed a jade slip at him and stood, feigning exasperation.

"Take over for a while. I'm done."

Xiao Ze caught the jade slip, chuckling as he gently pushed Mandala back into her seat.

"Don't worry, I'll help you finish these tasks. We'll handle them together."

Though she rolled her eyes, Mandala couldn't help but crack a small smile as they worked. The two quickly cleared the remaining tasks, leaving Mandala to mutter, "You talk as if this realm is mine."

Xiao Ze smiled warmly.

"Why wouldn't it be? You're its true steward."

A Gift of Light

After spending time catching up with his loved ones, including Xun Er, Xiao Ze prepared to claim the Infinite Radiance Origin from the feedback he had earned.

Within his spiritual ocean, he summoned the energy and allowed it to merge with his Origin Space.

A divine radiance spread across the space, bathing the Origin Tree in a faint golden glow. Though the transformation wasn't earth shattering, Xiao Ze was thrilled by the results.

His Origin Tree now radiated stability, and the rules of the Origin Space seemed more refined and complete. Most importantly, his ability to refine additional branches of the tree had become noticeably faster.

Though the changes seemed minor for now, Xiao Ze was certain that collecting all five Origins would lead to an extraordinary evolution for the Origin Space.

Trouble in the Great Thousand World

Just as Xiao Ze began testing his newfound capabilities, he received an urgent distress message.

It came from Xiao Yan, who had ventured into the Divine Beast Plains and inadvertently drawn the attention of an Extraterrestrial Demon Emperor. The gap in their power was vast, leaving Xiao Yan with no choice but to request help through the Origin Tree's roots.

Frowning slightly, Xiao Ze pondered how Xiao Yan had wandered into such a perilous region but wasted no time in responding. After leaving messages for Xun Er and Mandala, he activated the Origin Tree's roots and set out for the Divine Beast Plains.

Though he was concerned for Xiao Yan, Xiao Ze couldn't deny his own interest in the Divine Beast Sea a sacred reservoir of divine beast bloodlines within the plains. After all, in the original tale, it was within this sea that Mu Chen cultivated his final two clones to perfection.
