Manman and Bai Lu were walking back when they ran into Ji Yun at the door.
Ji Yun had just gone outside for a run, and there was a bit of sweat on his forehead. Seeing the two of them, he smiled and asked, "Where's Yunxi?"
Look at Mr. Ji starting and ending every sentence with "future wife." Manman and Bai Lu exchanged knowing glances and teased, "You oughta carry a rope to tie her up—then she won't go missing."
"She should tie me up instead. I take orders from her." Mr. Ji adapted their joke seamlessly, not at all bothered by their teasing, grinning all the way.
The three of them went back to the salon. Ji Yun spotted only Jun Ye and his fiancée there; his face betrayed a bit of surprise.
"Look at that," Manman teased, "Mr. Ji, you went to school with my brother. Sister Bai Lu's here too, and still you're worried?"
Jun Ye roughly gauged the distance between himself and Chang Yunxi—it seemed like they weren't even sitting on the same chair.
