To which I then proceed to open both of them back up again, in order for me to continue, to properly address the viewers*...Now then viewers, though I did say that we would be covering every single Numb3rs episode. After some talking and conversing between me, Keiko, Zachary, and Catherine. We came to the conclusion that this would have made adaptation of our four fanfics impossible. So as a way to curb this becoming a real possibility, we have made some necessary changes, that will be brought to light in this upcoming chapter. But as usual, a chapter recap is first in order. So viewers, let us now get on with that chapter recap in question now, shall we?...*I proceed to say this, while also proceeding to smile with both of my eyes closed in a very cute looking manner*"
Date: December 2, 2005
Okay, so a week had now passed since the incident with Bob McHugh and Graybridge Pharmaceuticals. And as of several days ago after the previous chapter, me and those of my allies of The Four Aces Alliance that had been present back then, had now become a bit more antiquated with being in a real world setting.
Which, after I had demonstrated on many occasions since then what me and my allies could do. You know apart of course from letting anyone else yet know of the abilities that we possessed. Since no one in the real world would've been quite yet ready to be introduced to the real deal when it came to actual magic.
But as of right now, myself, along with Momoko, and the rest of my still currently present allies, were now officially consultants for Don Eppes and the rest of his team. And, given what I knew about what was due to happen next, which was pretty much everything. I was now ready to demonstrate just how easy it was going to be to close the book on each case in the remaining episodes of the series.
And speaking of which, we were currently at one of those case sites. Or in this case, we were at a museum, more specifically at the bottom of one of the stair cases, and the dead body of a woman was at the bottom of that star case. Who as it turned out, was missing one of her high heeled shoes.
And as for more on the current situation at hand? Well you see, about that...
"So let me get this straight Lopez. You were the one who found Jennifer here dead at the bottom of the stairs is that right?" I was currently questioning one of the museums security guards who had been on patrol the night in which one Jennifer Abernathy. The female that was currently dead at the bottom of the stair case, had been found dead by Lopez, the same security guard that I was now questioning.
"Yes, that's correct," Lopez proceeded to say back to me in response.
And as for me, and my response back...
"So let me ask you this then Lopez. Just how did you find her really? Because if I am not mistaken Lopez, your usual patrol path isn't in this area. So why don't you tell me exactly why you decided, out of seemingly nowhere, to change your path of patrol, the night that Ms. Abernathy was murdered?" I then proceeded to say back to Lopez in response.
And then...
"Well you see I..." Lopez then tried to say back to me in response.
Only for me to then cut him off midway through...
"Also Lopez, and correct me if I am wrong. But was your name not on a tribal registry, until it was recently struck off by your chief, isn't that correct?" I now proceeded to say back to Lopez as a follow up.
Only this time Lopez remained silent. And then...
"Hey Don? I think Lopez here knows who killed Ms. Abernathy. So Lopez, here is how this is going to go. You can either tell us why you assisted the murderer in killing Ms. Abernathy. Or, we can take you in for possible accessory. And if you're wise enough..." I then proceeded to say back over to Lopez with in response.
And while I had said my statement, I had turned by attention over to Don Eppes. Which as I had intended, had then prompted him over.
And as for Lopez...
"I think I had better talk to my lawyer," Lopez then proceeded to say back to both me and Don Eppes.
And as for me...
"Do you really want to waste our time with talking to your lawyer Lopez? Because I already know, that you assisted the murderer. Because if you had helped in letting them in, then your name would have been put right back onto the tribal registry. So I am only going to ask you this once Lopez. Save me and the FBI the trouble, and take us to your chief. Because I know, that he was the one who murdered Ms. Abernathy. So with that being said Lopez, unless..." I then proceeded to say back over to Lopez with in response.
Which as I had intended, wound up having him change his tune so too speak. And as for his response back? Well about that, because only a couple of minutes later...
"Chief Clearwater, you're under arrest for the murder of Jennifer Abernathy. I am going to need you to put your hands behind your back please," Don Eppes proceeded to say to one Chief Clearwater. Who had just recently gone and confessed to not only insinuating that he had indeed in fact murdered one Jennifer Abernathy. But on top of that, I had explained in some detail, as to both the motive, and what exactly the reason was for why he had gone and killed her. And as Chief Clearwater was read his Miranda Rights, I was now more confident then ever, that when it came to me and the rest of my allies.
What with regard to, and as I had intended, that with me using my in depth knowledge of the Numb3rs episodes, was going to end up being quite the effective speed running strategy. That as long as I continued to use it. Would enable us to get through the rest of the episodes without very much difficulty. And, just as importantly, made for quite the spot of fun for me, and the rest of my allies that were still currently present with me as well.
"Well viewers, that is one more episode down, and still another ninety more or so to go. Nothing like using a speed run type strategy in real life hmm? Shinko here by the way again viewers...*I proceed to say this, while also proceeding to smile with both of my light blue eyes closed. To which I then proceed to open both of them back up again, in order for me to continue, to properly address the viewers*...Now then viewers, the episode that was just covered for those who don't know? Well it was Season 2, Episode 23 'Bones Of Contention.' And also viewers? This speed run strategy as you just read about, is going to allow me and my allies, to make quick work of the remaining episodes, between this one, and all the way to Season 6, Episode 16 'Cause And Effect.' I mean after all viewers, I did say in the previous chapter, that this was going to be a retelling of sorts with regard to the Numb3rs TV series did I not?...*I proceed to say this, while also proceeding to smile with both of my light blue eyes closed. To which I then proceed to open both of them back up again, in order for me to continue, to properly address the viewers*...But anyway viewers for right now, this does once again in fact now currently mark the end of this current chapter. Okay, so only about an hour or so had now passed since the incident with Chief Clearwater being taken into custody for the murder of one Jennifer Abernathy. And as it currently stood, me and the rest of my allies were currently walking down one of the streets of what was what I assumed was Rodeo Drive. The only weird thing was that seemed to be somewhat out of place. That while Rodeo Drive was usually very busy, in this case there wasn't a single person besides me and my allies that were currently there. And though this would not usually draw suspicion from me. What was about to happen next, would help put a nagging inkling of suspicion, that had somehow managed to make its way into my mind ever since I had managed to convince Ian and Don to have me and my allies become consultants for them and the rest of Don Eppes FBI team.
"And while we are on the subject of this viewers. Shinko here by the way viewers...*I proceed to say this, while also proceeding to smile with both of my light blue eyes closed. To which I then proceed to open both of them back up again, in order for me to continue, to properly address the viewers*...Now then viewers, as I am sure that you know with regard to the FBI in a real life setting. It takes somewhere in the range of several weeks to get an approval for being able to consult with the FBI. Mind you viewers, this isn't exactly...*I proceeded to say. Only for someone to then proceed to speak up from just in front of me. Which though it did wind up catching me somewhat by surprise, it didn't cause either of my eyes to then proceed to start visibly twitching again*"
And as for who this person was? Well...
"Shinko there you are, do you know how hard it was for me to find you in this place?" A somewhat recognizable and somewhat frantic sounding male voice had then proceeded to say over to me with.
And sure enough, as I then proceeded to quickly turn my attention towards the source of the somewhat recognizable male voice. Both of my light blue eyes, then proceeded to quickly fall upon a young man. Who appeared to be of average height, with short black hair that was parted in the middle, dark brown eyes, and a slim trained body. And from what I could also tell, apart from him obviously looking like a pretty standard anime male from the world of anime. He was also wearing what appeared to be a male equivalent of what was widely known as the IS Academy uniform. And more importantly, he also appeared to be wearing what looked to be a white metal bracelet on one of his arms.
And, upon me then realizing pretty much instantly who he was...
"Okay seriously, how on earth are you here right now Ichika? And...whoa hold on, wait a minute here. Why are you sounding so frantic?" I now proceeded to say back over to the now correctly identified Ichika Orimura with in response.
And as for Ichika and his response back to me...
"Because this current setting that you are in right now isn't real. And..." Ichika had then proceeded to try and say back to me in response with. Only for my allies, or those who I thought were my allies. That were still present behind me when Ichika had showed up, then proceeded to start acting very strangely. And what I meant by this was, well...
"Warning, Foreign Unauthorized Matter Detected!: Deploying Defense Measures!" Every single one of my currently still present allies then proceeded to say together in chorus. While they also proceeded to speak in what was without a doubt one of the most robotic sounding AI type voices, that I had ever heard.
And as for me, as I then started to quickly realize just what it was that was going on...
"Let me guess Ichika, I'm in some sort of dream simulation at this very moment, correct? Which if I am not mistaken, I am currently in a sort of cyber simulation pod located somewhere beneath the IS Academy?" I then proceeded to turn back over to Ichika, while saying this statement of mine in response back to him.
And as for Ichika and his response back to me...
"Y-yes, but how did you..." Ichika then proceeded to say back over to me in response with. While he also proceeded while he was saying this response of his back over to me with, while a somewhat surprised looking expression, was also now currently present on his face.
And as for me, and my response back to Ichika, which I had started to say while proceeding to cut him off midway through his response back to me...
"How about we save the rest of our conversation until after we are both out of this dangerous situation, okay?" I then proceeded to say back over to Ichika with in response. Which as I had proceeded to say my response back over to Ichika, I had proceeded to briefly smile back at him, with both of my light blue eyes closed, in my usual cute looking manner.
And with Ichika simply then proceeding to quickly nod back to me in response. We both then proceeded to do an about face. To which we both then proceeded to quickly deck each of my fake allies in each of their respective faces. Which after a few short seconds, caused all of them to vanish out of existence. Which as intended, caused the setting around me to then be suddenly enveloped in a bright white light. Which then proceeded to temporarily blind me for a few short seconds.
But when the light had died down again after these few short seconds, I then took immediate notice of the fact. That as I had predicted, I was now inside what appeared to be a cyber simulation pod. That once I had proceeded to open both of my light blue eyes, had then prompted the lid of the cyber simulation pod, to then proceed to emit a brief air lock releasing type noise. Which a split second later, caused the lid of the cyber simulation pod in question, to open.
And, once I had fully gotten myself out of the aforementioned pod...
"Good morning Sleeping Beauty, and how was your nap?" The unmistakable voice of one Momoko Hanasaki had proceeded to say over to me in response, from just over to my immediate right.
And as for me and my response back to Momoko...
"Well sis, in the similar words of one Pierce Brosnan from Die Another Day, 'the catering could have done with a bit of improvement, but tell that to the concierge.' But regardless sis, it is good to be back. So, am I to assume right, that Phantom Task is to blame for what happened to me then?" I then proceeded to say back over to Momoko, along with everyone of my real allies that had still been present before I had been knocked out and placed into the aforementioned cyber simulation pod against my will.
And sure enough as a way to hammer, as well as compound my correct guess of a statement home...
"Yes, but how did you..." A female with very long dark hair had now proceeded to ask over to me with in response. Which was just after I had finished my current statement.
And as for me and my response back to her...
"Well Ms. Shinonono, by the way it is great to finally meet the sister of the one and only Tabane. Who by the way Ms. Shinonono, you have my complete and total sympathy, for having to deal with a super pervert such as her. But as for why I know it was Phantom Task that did this? Well let's just call it a hunch of mine shall we? So Ms. Shinonono, with that now being said, what do you say that we pay Phantom Task a little visit now hmm? Because I am going need to have them answer for doing this to me. So minna, with that being said, what do you say that we go and greet the locals, hmm?" I then proceeded to say over to everyone of my allies that were still currently present.
But, what I was not expecting to happen next, was for several of them, to then have a sweatdrop then become present on each of their respective faces.
And as for me...
"What is it, do I have something on my face?" I then proceeded to ask back over to everyone else with in response. Which I had proceeded to say, while a very confused looking expression, was now currently present on my face, along with a sweatdrop as well.
And as for the response that I got back? Well about that...
"No, it's just how corny that statement of yours was that you just said just now Shinko. Because for the record Shinko, I don't even say a statement as corny sounding as that," Keiko had now proceeded to say over to me in response with. Which she had proceeded to say, while she still had both an embarrassed looking expression on her face. As well as the same sweatdrop on the same side of her face, that had appeared there not even a couple of seconds prior.
But, as for me and my response back to Keiko...
"And yet this is coming from the same individual, who used a complex word such as logorrhea not so long ago? By the way Keiko, what exactly..." I then proceeded to say back to Keiko in response. Which during this same instance, I had proceeded to say this back to Keiko, while a very cheeky and smug looking smirk, was now once again present on my face.
And then...
"Hey Shinko?! You do know you can be a real pain sometimes, you know that?!" Keiko then proceeded to say back to me in response. Which she had proceeded to say back in response to me, while an all too familiar looking and yet also very cute looking pouting expression, and cute looking embarrassing blush, was now present on her face.
Which helped to indicate to me, that Keiko's tsundere type behavior, was now once again showing itself. And as for me, and as for my response back to Keiko...
"Yes Keiko I do. But you know you love it, I mean after all..." I then proceeded to say quite cheekily and smugly back over to Keiko with in response.
Only Keiko then proceeded to cut me off midway through my response back to her. And as for her response back? Well you see, about that...
"Okay thank you I get it Shinko! Can we move on now please?!" Keiko had now proceeded to quite embarrassingly yell back over to me in response with.
And as for me and my response back to Keiko...
"I was wondering when you were going to say that Keiko. So viewers, Shinko here by the way again...*I proceed to say this, while also proceeding to smile with both of my light blue eyes closed.
