Micteya, the goddess of death, hadn't expected this. The Eighteen-Winged Angel from the Great Aetherium actually wanted to kill her.

Micteya was no ordinary Goddess. She was a Supreme Goddess. Though her rank was one level lower than Celestia, and her natal artifact less potent than Celestia's natal artifact, she was certain she wouldn't die here.

In the Ancient Era, even facing the tyrannical Twelve Demon Monarchs of the Abyss, she hasn't heard of any Supreme God ever falling and completely dying. She refused to believe that she would be the first one in the Endless Continent's history.

"I am the Goddess of Death! I have mastered the Law of Death! Who could possibly kill me?" Micteya's confidence radiated like a dark flame. She believed that even the Lord of the Underworld himself could not claim her life. Could this Angel be more powerful than the ruler of the realm of the dead?

In just a split second, Celestia appeared with her terrifying Divine Power in front of her, but Micteya's form flickered, releasing hundreds of her divine incarnations, each one pulsing with Supreme God Tier Divine Power, strong enough to individually suppress peak High Gods.

In other words, Micteya has single-handedly summoned a legion of peak High Gods to besiege Celestia. Next, behind her, a massive black hole tore open space itself, spewing forth countless figures of peak High God Tier strength. These puppets were created by her from corpses of Gods. Although they lacked intelligence, they were tireless and fearless.

"Kill!" At Micteya's command, her divine incarnations and the undead puppets surged forward, while she herself wielded her sword to strike the crystal wall encasing the battlefield.

Micteya's goal wasn't to overpower Celestia in a direct fight, as she knew that was impossible. Instead, by keeping Celestia busy, she hoped to shatter the space-time seal and escape.

But soon, even that hope seemed to fade because the seal was far stronger than what she had imagined. Though she hammered it with all her might, it barely trembled.

Meanwhile, Celestia's attacks cut through her incarnations and puppets with ruthless efficiency. Each flicker of Celestia's natal artifact shattered several of those summons, erasing Micteya's Divine Essence from it. It seemed like within a few more moments, Micteya's summoned army would be reduced to dust.

'Is this the power of a peak Supreme God Tier Artifact?' Micteya wondered, her beautiful face darkened with rage and disbelief.

'Why do I, an ancient Goddess of Death, who had survived hundreds of thousands of years, wield only a low-level Supreme God Tier Artifact, while this Angel, who has barely existed for a few weeks, wields such an overpowered one?'

The disparity was staggering. She had heard rumors that the Endless Continent's World Laws favored the Castle Lords, but she had dismissed such whispers, until now. Now it was clear to her that it wasn't just favor, it was outright discrimination against the Gods of Faith and Truth.

As if leisurely wandering a garden, Celestia felled Micteya's avatars and puppets one by one.

"Damn it!" Micteya hissed, raising her sword again, but this time against Celestia herself. She struck with fury, desperate to buy more time, to weaken the crystal wall's power, to find an escape. If not, alone and isolated, she would be forced to face Celestia herself.

"You finally understand your fate?" Celestia's voice was calm, almost mocking. With a single gesture, she beheaded a puppet and slashed toward Micteya.

Boom!

Terrifying divine power exploded between them. Their Divine Laws clashed, causing an explosion that shook the battlefield and destroyed the nearby puppets and incarnations.

Outside the battlefield, the spectators were also shocked like Micteya. Not only because the Great Aetherium had a Supreme Goddess, but also because she wanted to kill Micteya, another Supreme Goddess. Such audacity was unprecedented.

"Nearly a hundred thousand years have passed since the Ancient Era…" whispered a God of Faith, "…this is the first true battle between Supreme Gods that I have witnessed after that era."

"All our wars between Supreme Gods weren't common even back in the day." Another one added, "Their destructive power is devastating. One misstep could bring ruin to a Supreme God. The risk is enormous, but this Angel… she is the most radical Supreme Goddess we've ever seen. It doesn't seem like this is just to put on a show. The seal is really strong. She actually wishes to fight to death."

Unlike a few minutes ago, the spectators were careful about not offending the Great Aetherium this time. After all, such strength commanded respect.

"Their Divine Aura is too overwhelming," Admitted a god, "Even the miniscule amount leaking from the sealed battlefield terrifies me…"

For the onlookers, many were seeing a battle between two Supreme Gods for the first time, and they were speculating about who would win.

"I don't think there are any doubts left now, are there?" Another god murmured, "Her Holiness, the Angel, holds a significant advantage. Her natal artifact alone crushes Micteya's."

"If Micteya falls, wouldn't the Death Pantheon risk collapse? After all, not only would their Supreme Goddess fall, even Maddox has fallen today!"

"But can Supreme Gods even fall? Ancient records suggest none has yet fallen…"

Suddenly, the God fell quiet mid-sentence because he saw tens of thousands of figures appear near the battlefield, each one exuding an aura of Death. They were the Gods of Death Pantheon under Micteya's command, who came with their legions of undead puppets as reinforcements. It seemed like their arrival could turn the tide.

"Look! The Gods of Death have come to rescue Micteya by besieging the Great Aetherium's Angels!"

"Even combined, The Great Aetherium's Angels and Christine's Beast Gods number only a few thousand. If no reinforcements for them arrive soon, it may turn catastrophic."

The Gods of Death roared and charged. At the same time, Nora, Mary, Eveline, Thessaly, Stella, and other high-ranking Angels again formed their battle formation with Haru as the core.

Christine, who stood near him, was shocked by the sheer number of reinforcements from the Death Pantheon. She turned to Haru and asked, "Your Majesty, what do we do?"

Haru's expression hardened. He gripped the Scepter of Sovereignty tightly. Though outnumbered nearly ten to one, his power, boosted by the fifty-one Divine Laws and the accumulated thirty percent power of his subjects through the Scepter of Sovereignty, was terrifying.

Because among his subjects was Celestia. Thirty percent of her strength already made Haru stronger than any peak High God. Right now, he was probably invincible below the Supreme God Tier, even stronger than Christine.

"We do not fear. The Great Aetherium's Gods will fight and die with honor!" Haru's voice rang steady.

No matter how many of their reinforcements arrived, as a Castle Lords, Haru and his army grew stronger with each battle.

Only Christine and her Beast Gods struggled beneath the reinforcements' weight. Her expressions tightened as she saw Celestia dominate the battlefield, pressing Micteya relentlessly.

'Fuck it, since we have already declared war, we can't back down. Soon, our own reinforcements from the Beast God Pantheon would also arrive!' Deep in her heart, she resolved to fight to the last breath alongside the Great Aetherium.

As the battle escalated, many Ancient Goddesses gathered and entered the battlefield as well. They were the Goddesses of Victory, War, Ocean, Flames, Moonlight & Hunting, Frost, Storm, and countless others.

They represented the fearsome might of the Nature Pantheon, who had millions of Goddesses, ranging from Lower True Goddesses to even one of the strongest Supreme Goddesses on the Endless Continent. Their strength was considered second only to the oldest Titan Pantheon.

Combined with their hardcore alliance with the Light Pantheon, they were considered invincible. Their presence sent a clear message, making the Death Pantheon pause.

"What, do you Nature Goddesses want to intervene as well?" Darren, a peak High God of the Death Pantheon, growled. "Have you also suddenly allied with the Great Aetherium?"

Tensions rose among them as they saw Selene step forward with her silver scepter and say, "Yes Daren, as a matter of fact, I just received an oracle from Her Holiness to protect the Great Aetherium's Gods. This is now our war. So think carefully before taking another step forward."
