Chapter 15 - Chapter 14: Problems Unsolved

Skysin and Crim stood side-by-side, gazing at the mountain of smoke and destruction. The two obviously roughed up from the battle they just fought.

"Did…" Skysin softly spoke, catching his breath, "did we beat 'em…?"

Crim sat his hands on his knees, his breathing a bit ragged, "…I think we did… I don't sense any chaos energy from 'em."

"YES!" Skysin let out a cheer of relief, falling to the sand flat on his back, "looks like he got his ass kicked pretty bad!"

Crim took a seat, "man, who would've thought he'd get so strong from a stupid pill…?"

"And even with all that extra help, he got pooped on!"

The boys had suddenly paused.

"You feel that?" Skysin asked.

"Yeah…"

The two quickly hopped to their feet, turning around, feeling a strong presence quickly approaching. But all they came to see was Nebula, Zeris, and the mysterious general, floating down to them in the bubble of black water Nebula created.

Landing, the bubble had dispersed, and Nebula quickly walked to them, "guys!! You're okay?!"

Crim nodded, "yep, managed to beat the dude."

Skysin grinned, "didn't know you were so worried about me Nebby."

Nebula had blushed, cringing, "no—you idiot, it's my job as a captain to be mindful of people!"

However, the general had quickly slipped past Zeris, Nebula, Crim, getting to Skysin. She wrapped her arms around him, pressing her face onto his lower chest.

Everyone paused.

"M-master…?" Nebula gently spoke.

Skysin merely looked down at the pretty woman, raising a brow, 'the hell?'

"It's been thirteen years since I last seen you, Sin," The general softly said, "you've grown up so much…"

As the three eyed this strange occurrence, Zeris tilted his head, 'what in the hell is going on?'

As Skysin stared at the short woman hugging him, his brain began to start up like an engine. Skysin's violet eyes had widened, finally remembering, "OH! JUNIPER??!!"

Juniper laughed, lifting him into the air with no problem. She sat him down, jumping up and wrapping her arms around his neck, pressing her pink lips onto his cheek, "oh just look at you!! You've grown so tall and handsome! ~" Juniper released herself, sitting the back of her hand over her mouth, side-eyeing Skysin, "although you still look like a girl…"

Skysin made a bland expression hearing that, "oh, very funny. And you're still short as mom," Skysin crossed his arms.

'Mom…?' Nebula asked herself. Nebula took a few steps forward, "um—master, who is Skysin to you?"

Juniper chuckled, slapping Skysin's back, getting a grunt out of him, "he's my baby brother silly."

'Baby brother??!' Both Nebula and Zeris shouted in their heads.

'That's why Sin's eyes looked so familiar!' Nebula realized, finally.

Zeris looked as if the entire world was falling apart before him, 'oh my MALERENZ!! I tried to hurt the general's younger brother…this must never come to light!'

Crim was chill about this, however. 'Cool.'

Skysin rubbed the back of his head, "didn't know you were some general in the military."

Juniper raised a finger, nodding, "why yes, I am a general. But I figured you wouldn't have known."

"Well yeah, since you pretty much ditched us," Skysin squinted his eyes towards Juniper.

"Urgh…." Juniper staggered, "oh c'mon Sin! Don't be so mean to me. Big sissy will always love ya!" She hugged Skysin tightly, rubbing her head on his arm. Skysin simply kept an irked expression, gazing at the others. It was as if he was begging for help inside.

Crim, Zeris, and Nebula all thought the same thing watching this, 'brother-con…'

Juniper coughed, returning to a calmer state, "but it's nice to see you're completely fine." She faced Crim, "including you as well, Mr. Magmastiem."—Juniper bowed— "Thank you for helping my idiot brother."

"Asshole!"

Crim chuckled, sweating, "if anyone deserves a thanks, it's Sin. He helped me get my ship back."

"That's good to hear," Juniper's violet eyes scoped the area, "where's Fender by chance?"

Skysin pointed to the mountain of rubble and sand, "should be in there if he wasn't obliterated."

"I see."

Juniper calmly approached the giant mountain of debris. She simply raised her fist, and flicked her pinky, blowing everything away like a hurricane, except for Fender, who was unconscious, still in one piece.

Crim whistled in awe. All of them were amazed, to put it simply. It surely isn't easy to just blow a small mountain of sand away, and with a single pinky, at that. Including the fact that Fender wasn't damaged in the process either. Exceptional power, and flawless control as well.

Juniper used her raw aura, a ghastly substance of frigid blue and violet, slowly creeping to Fender. Covering his entire body and lifting him up with ease.

Juniper returned to them, arms crossed behind her back as Fender floated behind, "good thing he's not dead. He'll need to be questioned later about using the Neo Pill."

Skysin tilted his head, "Neo Pill?"

Juniper nodded, "Neo Pills are very similar to Eco's. However, while Eco Pills make you rampage, Neo pills don't. Plus, they boost your power by a great percentage, although it's only for a short amount of time, and can kill you unless your aura is cancelled out before. Both are extremely illegal, either way."

Juniper eyed Fender, "if you two didn't stop him, he might've leveled the entire city."

Skysin took a humble bow, "why thank you, short woman."

"Shut up Sin," Juniper quickly replied, then faced Zeris and Nebula, "from the damage here, I doubt any of his lackeys survived?"

Nebula shook her head, "I highly doubt it. And the other ships have been destroyed too."

"We'll support the civilians in that matter. However, we only need this idiot anyways. He's more than enough. Zeris, please notify all soldiers standing guard, and tell them that the citizens may return to their respective homes."

"Understood ma'am," Zeris nodded, already getting to work.

Juniper's eyes went to Nebula, "we'll be returning to the fleet for questioning. Fender must be interrogated as soon as possible."

"Understood master."

Skysin raised a brow, "so you're training under my sister?"

"Yep, it's been about three years now."

Skysin leaned in, whispering, "be careful, she might disappear on you too…"

Nebula nearly looked like a stone hearing that.

Juniper made a sour expression, poking her lips out, "stop being a jerk…"

"Y'know, you could at least say hey to mom and Grandpa Al. Especially mom, she's been worried since ya just upped and left."

Juniper shook her head, her smile a bit melancholic, "…I doubt she even cares now…"

"Huh?" Skysin questioned, "quit spouting crap, of course she does!"

"Enough," Juniper quickly replied, "just tell them I said hi, alright?"

Skysin grunted, huffing through his nose, "…fine…"

"Oh, you're just the cutest!" Juniper hugged Skysin, kissing his cheek, "we should be going now. It was good to see you though. Love you Sin."

Skysin sighed, returning the hug. No matter how much Juniper bullied or aggravated him, she was still his sister, "love you too, June."

As they prepared to leave, Nebula faced Skysin and Crim, "it was nice to meet both of you. I hope we cross each other again."

Nebula gave Crim a handshake, and as she approached Skysin, he sat a hand on her shoulder.

Skysin dipped down a bit, whispering, "could you keep an eye on my sister, please? She can be a bit stubborn at times."

"Like someone else I just met," Nebula chuckled, "no worries, I've been dealing with her since I was fifteen."

"Thanks."

Zeris rubbed the back of his head, "thanks to you, I believe I learned something new."

Skysin grinned, "good to hear. Let's have a nice spar next time, yeah?"

"Agreed."

After they left, Skysin and Crim stared at the stars above.

"Well, Crim," Skysin sat his hands on his waist, "I guess you'll be taking off soon, huh?"

"That should be best," Crim replied with a sigh. He looked over to Skysin, grinning, "but why don't we both take off as partners instead?"

Skysin chuckled, "sounds like a plan to me."

The two fists pumped each other, letting this become the beginning of a remarkable adventure.

The two entered the hatch to Crim's ship, Skysin was baffled, eyeing the entirety of Crim's ride, "damn its like luxury ship in here!!"

Skysin walked on a thin walkway of soft black rug, coming to see a total of ten leather seats in total. Two in the very front with the dashboard, and eight more sitting just a foot from the others. A large rectangular screen sitting by the driver's side, along with the accessorized steering wheel and stick shift. It was clean, pristine, and beautiful.

Skysin could see a total of six rooms as well, all sitting behind the seats, like a small corridor. Which was quite bizarre, since the ship was smaller on the outside than inside. It could damn near be considered a luxury RV.

Lucanaships are manufactured with special vestiges, that essentially alter the fabric of space within these spatial mobiles, allowing them to withhold such a ludicrous amount of room. Still, the process and basic construction of these makes anyone have a headache. Highly advanced technology, mixed with the absurdity of chaotic energy.

The two took their seats, Crim in the driver while Skysin sat in the passenger. Crim pressed the ignition button, and Lucy started up, releasing a loud, yet smooth purr.

"Sounds good," Skysin grinned.

"Thanks," Crim smiled, closing the hatch, and putting the lucanaship into first gear. He steadily released the clutch, and as the vehicle slowly drove forward, he pressed his foot onto the gas, taking off at high speeds, flying in the night sky as the exhaust roared.

"Oh yeah! Can we go by my mom's?? Gotta let her and my old man know I passed."

"Yeah, no problem... Wait, where do you live at?"

"Ternal island."

Crim made a deep, pondering expression, then side-eyed Skysin, "that's literally on the other side of the world. How'd you get here??"

"Whaduya mean how'd I get here? I ran dude."

Crim sighed, "I'm not even surprised at this point…"

"The hell is that 'posed to mean??"

And with that, the two were off, making their way back to Ternal Island.
