Chapter 478 - Chapter 479: Sabrina’s Waterloo

Sabrina wasn't too concerned about her own safety—after all, she could teleport away at any time.

What did catch her off guard was the sheer strength concentrated within Rex Farm. The massive size of the Totem Swellow and its oppressive aura of dominance already gave her pause.

The Machamp hadn't revealed much of its strength outwardly, but Sabrina's sharp senses told her its body was brimming with terrifying explosive power.

Other Pokémon like Politoed, Blaziken, and Heracross were no slouches either. By now, Sabrina's initial confidence had all but faded.

Even with the Pokémon she carried with her, she wasn't certain she could win—not when Totem Swellow alone could likely tie up most of her attention.

"You. Who are you, and why have you entered Rex Farm?"

Just as Sabrina found herself in an awkward position, Rex stepped forward, having arrived on the scene. Upon seeing the levitating young woman, he asked calmly.

"Hmph. A few days ago you handed over some of our Team Rocket members to Officer Jenny and even dared mock us. Don't tell me you've already forgotten?"

Now that Rex was within her telekinetic range, Sabrina gave a cold huff.

She'd initially planned to retreat, but seeing Rex within arm's reach, she decided instead to seize control of him directly. With the trainer neutralized, no matter how strong his Pokémon were, they'd be helpless.

"Oh, you're with Team Rocket? Then I suggest you leave now—unless you want to join your grunts in custody."

Rex raised a brow, not sounding even remotely intimidated.

He found it odd. For a Team Rocket commander to come all the way here over some street thugs? That didn't seem worth it.

"You're awfully arrogant. You might be strong, but you're a long way from matching Team Rocket."

Sabrina's face darkened. Waves of psychic energy erupted from her body as she attempted to take control of Rex.

Rex felt the air around him thicken, as if frozen. His body locked up, and he began to float slowly toward her, drawn by her mental force.

She hadn't managed to infiltrate his body deeply, though. After a few moments, Rex was able to rouse the fighting energy within his dantian.

As his aura surged through his meridians, the invading psychic energy began to disintegrate, bit by bit.

Soon, his body was once again his own—though he didn't show it. He let himself continue drifting toward Sabrina.

"You all back off," Sabrina warned the surrounding Pokémon with narrowed eyes. "I won't guarantee your trainer's safety if you come any closer."

Though they were burning with fury, Totem Swellow and the others backed away slightly. They couldn't risk Rex getting hurt.

Still, their eyes remained locked on her. The moment she showed any intent to harm their trainer, they would pounce without hesitation.

Then, just as Sabrina believed she held all the cards—

Everything went black.

"You were too careless," Rex muttered after landing silently with Sabrina slumped over his shoulder.

At the perfect moment, he had broken free and delivered a precise chop to the back of her neck, rendering her unconscious.

He didn't know who she truly was—only that she was a member of Team Rocket.

After confiscating her Poké Balls and locking them, Rex immediately called Officer Jenny.

He didn't want to deal with a dangerous psychic himself. Killing her felt unnecessary, but leaving her free was too risky.

Let the Hoenn League handle her. If Team Rocket wanted her back, they'd have to go through official channels—hopefully keeping the pressure off Rex Farm.

Still, if they came after him again, Rex wasn't afraid.

Officer Jenny arrived at top speed on her Arcanine after getting his call.

"So it's her, huh? These Rocket creeps are getting bolder by the day!"

"Don't worry, Rex—I'll make sure she gets what she deserves."

Seeing the unconscious woman in uniform, Officer Jenny immediately cuffed her with a special pair of restraints.

These cuffs, made with the Hoenn League's latest tech, could suppress a person's innate powers. Whether psychic or martial, no one could break free without outside help.

"Uh-oh... I think something happened to Boss Sabrina."

"Yeah... let's report to HQ right away."

Elsewhere, inside a cargo truck parked near the farm, two Team Rocket operatives were monitoring the scene via drone.

Watching Sabrina—their iron-willed, god-tier boss—get taken down and handed to the police left them stunned.

They knew better than to intervene. Their only option was to report it up the chain.

"Ugh... my head... where am I?"

Sabrina finally stirred. Her head was throbbing.

Clearly, Rex hadn't held back.

Once fully conscious, she saw the metal cuffs on her wrists and the cell surrounding her.

"That bastard!"

Memory rushing back, she realized what had happened—Rex had broken free and knocked her out cold.

Grinding her teeth in frustration, Sabrina couldn't believe she had fallen to such a lowly place—bested in some no-name farm in the countryside.
