Chapter 83 - 083 Origin Of Evil [1]

Clutching the large wound on his side, Gryphon staggered behind a particularly large rock and held his breath. His trial had started rather poorly, to say the least. The old mage had found himself in a mountain range not unlike the various ones that littered the southern continent, at least in the way that dense forests covered him in all directions...

He had been dazed at first, but was quickly forced back into lucidity when a dire bear attacked him. The monsters claws had barely grazed him, and yet Gryphon could feel his consciousness fading. If the old mage hadn't blasted the fiend with a bolt of lightning, it would of ripped him apart before he could escape.

Muttering a basic chant under his breath, Gryphon summoned a ball of nuclear orange flames and admittedly grunted in pain as he cauterized the deep gash. If he survived this ridiculous trial, he'd definitely make sure to give Colwyn a firm strike for roping him into this!
