"Ugh. I'm so thirsty," Alexander thought as the nanites in his body worked hard reattaching his nerves and healing his traumatized skeleton. He thought, in the quite part of his mind, where he knew Lunaris wouldn't feel his mind.
The feeling of having thousands of miniature ants numbingly crawl under your skin, was unerving to Alexander at first. After awhile he got used to it and attributed it to his healing process allowing him to think about the things he had just gone through.
'I would have been a ginger without Lunaris and that mysterious Knight. Somehow its in my ring, and wanting to train me to be like it. This Guardian crap is starting to get over my head. This may not end for awhile, and I've still got school, Hunters stuff, and the others. Bailings not an option, so the only thing I can do is split the tasks up. Lunaris, I have a..'
'Master your healing routine is nearly done. I will relocate drones to quenching your throat.' Lunarissaid with a tone Alexander noticed right away to be alright. If he had to say, her voice before was like a shy teen girl, now it sounds like a distorted ghost.
'Lu, are you ok?'
A wave of jolting shock and a piercing ringing shot out into the.mind space, making him nearly fall unconscious from the intense pain.
Alexander backed away from their connection, a feeling that felt as uncomfortable as holding your breathe past the point of needing air. The bond that gave them unlimited access if they pulled hard enough on the tethers that grew with each day.
"What was that for? That felt like two elbows to the crotch and a slap to the ear. Did you take to much damage?" He asked, forgetting that their bond means they feel eachothers pain as well.
'I am experiencing a malfunction. I will run a systems diagnostic after you are healed.'your function is designated as priorit..t..ty.'
"No im fine. The priority her is you fixing yourself. If You make a mistake while like this It could kill me. I know I sound harsh but after looking after three kids, and myself, I know how clouded your judgment can get. Take care of yourself right, now. Thats an order."
'Affirmative. I will run a systems check and will be unable to assist you in any primary functions. Are you sure you would like this?'
"Ill be fine just come back safe, okay. I did survive for fifteen years without you, ya know. Give mm e some credit."
"...ALEXANDER? Who are you talking too?" A familiar voic voiced concern from a drone.
Max and his drone had been keeping an eye on the team. The scouts had done a great job on the first ten minutes. All except one who dissappeard before his eyes.
For a whole thirty seconds Alexander had, in Max's words, Departicalized into matter, and then reappeared.
"What happened to you? You dissappeard for nearly thirty-five seconds and I lost your signal. Did you fall into another trap? Elevated heart rate and high levels of testosterone and adrenaline, you nearly died."
"Im good, Braniac. I could use a new sword. I'll tell you all about it later." With Lunaris about to go into repair mode, he knew his nanite blade would be useless with his control. Its sharpened edge and diamond core would fall and shatter with his level of control over the nanites of the swarm, his swarm.
The system controll, known as Lunaris, interfaced for him to add percision to his jumbled thoughts that made his will over the swarm. Now that she was going to be unavailable for the time begin the time to practice was now.
'...argh. Oh no. This isn't good. My back, legs and arms, even my toes won't move. I am completely paralyzed with pain.' The fact that If Lunaris wasn't passively numbing his pain receptors, as much as she dared, he would be in extreme pain and not the dull ache of ruptured everything.
Alexander focused on his training with Lunaris, an extensive and traumatic experience. Using Synergy he inhaled deeply to suck in the small particles of magic around him, leading them down into his near exhausted core and then through his body, energizing his cells and the nanites.
He started with his right big toe, Using the nanites as best he could by giving the a general feeling of restoring, while channeling his weak Light magic he learned from Max. The healing was slow with the nerves that were numb would be reactivated, giving him a gradual increase in pain with every healed section.
Waves of shocking burning pain and sweet relief nearly made Alexander pass out. With the nanites making progress from his legs to his shoulders, he recieved a new appreciation for Light magic wielders. The amount of concentration needed to effectively use Light magic, which naturally radiated like a lamp, to be precise like a layer was tremendous under self healing pain.
"No wonder Light mages run in pairs. If you get hurt its going to take too much time to fix yourself in a battle or war. Argh.. well nearly there, now just the middle section and I'll be done."
The time it took to heal his entire body, both inside and out was around ten minutes. Enough time for the other scouts, Kalani and Nakamura, to search the left and middle sections of the court yard. With very little to report they change directions towards Alexanders location to assist him on the right.
When Kalani and Nakamura found Alexander, he was finishing his healing process. Which to them looked as if he was having a heart attack. Which frightened them more as his eyes where bloodshot and his arched back seemingly demonic.
"Alexander!" Kalani knelt and immediately applied Light magic to his chest. Magic flooded his chest, in a waterhose-like stream feeling, spreading from her hand out ward. She was healing anything she felt was in immediate danger, forcing as much of her magic inside him as she could.
Kalani's percision with her magic when in stressful situation like this was due to her diligence in training every chance she could. Even taking up medic in formations when scout was useless.
Kalani's will explored for any wounds that could be causing Alexanders pain, the influx of mana in an already mana/nanite filled middle could have only one outcome.
"Crop duster inbound, I cant hold it!" Alexander cried as a toot of trapped gasses escaped. Pressure built up from the gasses and carbon from fixing his nearly mangled body released through the only way out.

"..."
":O"
"Nakamura, save him before I kill him," Kalani stood up and walked away with a gust of wind surrounding her head. "If I ever see him again I'll break his legs. Ughh."
"Excuse me... Kalani, I appreciate the help but I was handling it. I nearly exploded from all that mana." Alexander dusted himself off. The dust on his back flying off and causing everyone to cough.
Air magic cleared the area from Kalani, blowing the dust back onto Alexander. Nakamura sidestepped the dust with a blast of air, avoiding getting his kimono smudged.
Alexander dusted himself off, unable to use magic as his mana circulation healed. "Now that that is done, sorry again. We can finish the scouting guys. Ill explaineverything later so lets just attest that brief disappearanc to a glitch."
Nakamura slightly nodded as his thoughts where focused on there surroundings. His earlier blunder and having Alexander save him an embarrassment and lasps of judgment he didn't forget.
"I trust you. You will explain everything when you can. However, the assault will have to be repaid. My clan would have my head if this ever got out."
"Sure...."
"Don't worry little brother, Ill make sure it reall hurts. Wouldn't want you to think I was going easy on you because you're a boy. A girl has to be understanding of the weaker sex." Kalani gave off an intimidating presence when she really meant something and Alexander felt all of it in this moment.
"GULP."
"How about I make it up to you. Ill spar with you both all week."
"Deal."
"Agreed... and I need something else." Nakamura added.
'What could you want other than training buddy.' Alexander thought.
"Sure, I'm a man of my word. But, first. Lets see what this place is hiding."
