Chapter 37 - Memories trapped in ice

As the door slowly creaked open, their gazes locked onto a skeleton, slumped on the bed, gripping a faded pink bunny. The clothes draped loosely over its bones, barely holding on, while its feet dangled off the edge of the bed. The fire nearby crackled softly, with only the charred remains of what was once a wooden stool left behind.

"What… happened here?" Avidia murmured, her voice laced with confusion as her face twisted in disbelief, unable to comprehend the scene before her.

"I have no idea," Cipher responded, stepping forward cautiously. He maneuvered past a fallen beam, stopping in front of the skeleton. The eerie stillness of the room pressed in on him as he examined the lifeless figure.

"Look around for anything that might explain this," Cipher instructed, his tone sharp as the weight of the situation settled over them. The group began scouring the room, searching for clues—anything that would provide an answer to the strange runes etched into the walls.
