After a fun hour of walking around, Michael took Lucia to a little café that had only a couple at one table and an elderly woman with a younger man who had similar features to her. Lucia thought he was at most a grandson or otherwise related. These people just glanced at them briefly before focusing on their meals.
Again, it was amazing to Lucia how often that was happening. She smiled as Michael drew her a chair and thanked him as she settled into it. Michael took the chair opposite her and then looked around to see a young girl walking their way. The young girl smiled at them as she handed them two copies of laminated menus.
"Thank you," Lucia said to the young girl.
The girl nodded and smiled. Lucia noted that the girl's eyes lingered on Michael a little longer than they did on her, and she took that with humour. How could she not be amused? The man was a decadent piece of eye candy. She noted that he was already scanning the menu with his intense level of concentration.
