The silence stretched between Davian and Sol before Sol finally spoke.
"What do you think of Ocean?"
Davian blinked, caught off guard. His lips parted, but he quickly gathered himself.
"He's… like a guardian to me," he said softly. "He stayed by my side when I felt like I had no one. I've told you this before, Sol—in this world, after my parents, the only man I can entrust my life to is Master."
Sol's eyes softened, but only for a fleeting moment before his gaze returned to Ocean's slumbering form.
"And what will you do," Sol began, his tone slow and deliberate, "when you realise…"
He trailed off, letting the words hang in the air. Davian leaned forward, searching Sol's expression.
"When I realise what?" he pressed.
Sol didn't answer immediately. His hand rested lightly on Ocean's arm, the smallest of gestures betraying the care he kept hidden behind his stoic facade.
