Chapter 37 - Finale Part 1

"Yuri Sadisuto, I challenge you!"

Damian stood out in the open field outside, wearing some ridiculous outfits. It was something like a purple cape adorned with strange symbols.

"Now this is what I've been waiting for! This is exciting!"

I didn't know how Damian was shaking the building before, I didn't even fully understand the powers he told me about. But it was my duty to defeat him. He was my big bad.

"Yes, Yuri, that's what I want to hear. Let's fight!"

Damian raised his hands up into the air and the ground beneath me rose up. Before I could allow myself to be swallowed up by the earth, I teleported a few feet away and avoided Damian's attack.

Not wanting to be fully on the defense, I loaded up the new version of the washer gun. Just like my initial concept, this version shot out washers at random, although I made sure to keep teleporting them at Damian.

"You think a few washers are gonna bother me?"

As each washer hit Damian, I could see him react to the impact, but at the same time, it didn't seem like I was hurting him.

Damian thrust out his arms and a massive wave of dirt and grass rose up from the ground and threw me backwards. Before I could hit the ground, I teleported myself above the wave and fell back to the now destroyed terrain below.

"Why did it have to be this way, Damian?"

"Why? Does it really matter?"

"Damian, we were working together before this. We said we would stop whatever evil being was coming."

"Don't you get that I was the evil being the whole time?"

"Then why did you help me? Why did you train me?"

"For that."

Damian pointed into the sky above. The sky was splitting apart and bright multicolored rays were shooting through.

"What the hell is that?"

"Exactly what I needed."

Suddenly, Damian thrust his hands downwards and a stream of dirt shot out of the ground below him, flying him at high speed right at me.

I tried to dodge, but was still distracted by what I just saw, and ended up getting punched in the face.

"How are you able to do this! I thought your power was prediction."

"It is prediction,Yuri; you just haven't figured out what I'm predicting."

Another punch to the face, and then Damian grabs me by the collar, lifting me up while staring at the sky.

"I have her! The Mystical Yuri Sadisuto!!!"

As I attempted to escape from Damian's grasp, I saw the cracks in the sky grow larger and larger.

"No, really, Damian; what the hell is that?"

"It's what you've always wanted, Yuri. It's a new reality."

Finally, I slipped free of Damian and flew up into the air.

Yes, while my flying abilities were underdeveloped, I could still use them to some extent.

It wasn't flying exactly, more teleporting myself to higher and higher points. To an outside observer, it would look like I was jittering around in the air.

Suddenly, I heard a small click sound.

This was my chance.

"You think you're the only one who's got new tricks!"

The click I heard came from an earbud in my left ear.

This earbud, of course, was connected to a random noise generator. This was how I would randomly coordinate my attacks.

I wound up for a punch and teleported my fist into Damian's face.

I continue to teleport punch him over and over to the random pattern of the clicks.

As I did this, I'd occasionally look up at the sky and see the cracks growing larger.

How do I stop that?
