Xia Yueqing's face flushed with embarrassment, seemingly not expecting him to ask this.
But upon reflection, it seemed quite natural, perhaps even beyond common sense.
"What's wrong?" Without a direct response from Xia Yueqing, Pei Yiting felt a bit disappointed.
After all this time, hasn't Xia Yueqing finished testing him?
Xia Yueqing turned her eyes away, "Let's talk about it next time."
Saying this, she turned and walked out of the kitchen.
Half an hour later, a bowl of thick and fragrant century egg congee was ready.
Pei Yiting served two bowls, placing one in front of Xia Yueqing and one in front of himself.
"There's a good day in a month. If you have no objections, I'll mention it to Mom later," Pei Yiting said as he pulled out a chair.
Xia Yueqing frowned slightly; a month later, it sounded like just a blink of an eye.
